| When we're thinking about our lives, and our places in this world, it often seems like we've gotten lost in a vast labyrinth, and can't remember the way out. Every turn in this vast maze reveals new insight, new information. Perhaps even a way out of the Labyrinth. It is only when we stop questing forward, stop striving to improve and move on, that the Labyrinth becomes too much for us. It is only then that the maze becomes a puzzle we cannot solve. This life will provide you with many twists and turns, each with its own piece of the puzzle. We will never solve the puzzle in this life, but we can hope to glimpse part of the Eternal Whole, whatever we choose to call it. Contained in these pages are my own essays, my own strivings to find that bigger picture, that glipse of the Divine. I like to think that sometimes I've caught the barest flash of it. These differ from my stories and poems, found nominally in The Glade, because here I am 'thinking out loud' if you will. Nothing here will be fictitious in nature, although it will often be contemplative. |
