All About Elanda

Hello, my name here at TarValon.net is Elanda Tonil. At the left you see the full version of my avatar. It was my second choice, but the only one that would work.... I am the Head of the Gray Ajah at the Tower. I'll put it in chronological order to minimize the confusion, so without further ado, here is my story...

I found TarValon.net through another message board (that I haven't gone back to since joining the Tower) and after exploring the Tower, visiting the links around the site, and reading the Tower Law a couple times, I fell in love with the site and sent in my application. That was back on August 27th, of 2002.

Shortly after joining, I was assigned my mentor, Aliandra Sedai. She was a wonderful mentor, extremely patient with me & encouraging. I spent the majority of my novicehood in the Classrooms with the occasional excursion to the Scullery. When I wasn't reading the boards I was reading the different Ajah Headquarters. For the first couple weeks after I joined, the only thing I ever talked about with my family was which Ajah I should join. After a few weeks I decided on the Gray Ajah & I've never had a millisecond of doubt since that decision. Though I do have stripes, I am Gray.

On October 10, 2002 I was raised to the Ring and sent in my application to the Gray & was accepted shortly. I joined the ranks of the Gray Accepted & had a wonderful time with my newfound family! I continued work on my Accepted project of researching the White Tower Laws through all the books in the Wheel of Time. After a number of weeks, I was prompted to send in the research I had completed so far, which I did, and a couple weeks later, on December 10th, I was summoned and raised to the Shawl.

Around late February and early March, I was asked to serve as the Head of the Gray Ajah, and on March 5th I was announced as the next Head.

Well, that is pretty much it up to fairly recently... very mundane, but I enjoy rules, so when I was a novice, I didn't even think of going into the Garrison, nor did I even think of drinking in the Tavern or anything contrary to the rules for Novices. When Accepted I did everything I could think of to obey the rules and not get under anyone's feet. It leads to a boring story, but very little use for that hand cream.
