Biography
 Miss Ela Kriss, a pianist and teacher
living in Chicago, was born into a family of musicians and received her
Bachelors Degree in Music and Piano at the University of Belgrade. With
more than 25 years experience in the performing arts teaching piano and
drums, she lived and taught in different countries in
Europe before relocating to the United States in the mid 1990s.
Teaching
An experienced piano pedagogue, Professor Ela Kriss combines
effective methods to fit her students’ personalities and needs. Her
philosophy is everyone can master the piano, no matter the age. Young
and old will enjoy it. “The more you learn, the more you can play, and
in time it becomes easier, and more fun.” Drum lessons can also be given
at your home on your own instrument. She also teaches languages in
English, German, Italian, and Serbo-Croatian.
Performing
Professor Ela Kriss has a repertoire of the Classics to pop and
Broadway musicals. She performs as a soloist for special occasions
including anniversaries, candlelight dinners, and birthday parties.
