This is my first angel picture.  She is wearing a forget- me- not headband and her wings are dotted with Queen Anne's Lace.  A beautiful white butterfly is keeping watch over her with petals of white lavatera and Queen Anne's Lace. The body is made from a piece of Northern Sea Oats and this same plant is shown in the right hand corner of the picture.

This beautiful angel is surrounded by a meadow of pansies, pink larkspur, grasses, bougainvillea, delphinium and hydrangea.

She holds in her hand a stem of purple blue larkspur and has her eyes on a tiny butterfly made from pansy petals and the body is made from a tiny piece of the Northern Sea Oats.

I think pansies have to be one of my favourite flowers.  They all look like they have little faces and such beautiful colours!
I absolutely adore this picture.  I had this little fairy and wanted to do something special with it.  I envisioned her being so light that she could sit right on top of a leaf, then decided also to make a vase arrangement and incorporate her in it.

Her little wings are white lavatera with a Queen Anne's Lace floret.  She is intrigued with the little butterfly who is made out of two bougainvillea petals and a piece of Northern Sea Oats.

The vase arrangement consists of  a hosta leaf, which becomes the vase, and it contains salvia, pansies, hydrangea, blue lobelia, sunshine cosmos, spurge, a single white larkspur,  a single daisy, a Queen Anne's Lace floret, Northern Sea Oats, two autumn leaves and a beautifully shaped wintered grass.  I experimented with shading on this picture and believe it or not used different coloured powdered eyeshadow!  Quite pleased with the result. Also took some small leaves to make it look like the vase is sitting in the grass.
The frame used for this picture inspired the design.  It is pale oak and around the inside rim is a beautiful wheat type braid.  It inspired me to do something with fall leaves and a basket.

The basket was inspired by one of the ladies in the egroups.  It is made out of  natural mesh type ribbon which has been glued on to card and then cut to shape.  The handle was also made out of an arched paper and the ribbon was glued on top and then cut to shape.

I decided to make the arrangement look like it was sitting in front of a window and the flowers are comprised of 3 beautiful brown and yellow pansies and maple leaves from the University where I work.  The little yellow flowers I believe are called "butter and egg" flowers.  I love the way the ivy looks like it is curving around the handle and the arrangement is sitting on a table top by the window.
