Pressing Flowers with a Microfleur
gather flowers to press
put tissue on wool pad and place flowers on tissue
cover flowers with another sheet of tissue paper
cover everything with another wool pad
place top and bottom part of microfleur and fasten with clips or elastic bands
place everything in microwave for about 1 minute, if flowers still moist try a few more seconds.  Do not burn flowers
gently pull back tissue paper and ease the flowers off by pressing from the back til the flowers start coming away from the tissue.
start again with new flowers using dry pads, repeat the process as above
Pressed dianthus
pressed purple larkspur
I like to store my flowers in similar colours in plastic baggies and lay them flat in square containers.  It makes it easier to find the colours you want.  If flowers are still a little moist from the microfleur, let them dry by putting sheets of flowers in telephone book to cure.
