"And I swear that I don't have a gun, no, I don't have a gun,"

These are links to either pages about violence prevention and also articles and reports on the Columbine High School shooting. I really feel strongly that people should read about the shooting in depth to feel for the victims and to not want it to happen again. To know that our actions brings effect not only on ourselves but others.

Empathy.

And also to make aware to us who would become future parents that we won't screw up in bringing up our children.

Anyway, do keep this in mind whenever we think that these highschool shootings won't happen to us. Do remember that the Columbine shooting didn't happen in supercities like New York or Chicago or Los Angeles but happen in a little town of Littletown, Colorado. And it wasn't rowdy street kids but by two guys who were honors students though with a little record. They didn't come from broken homes or poor families, they were just like us. Anyone of us.

The quote above is from Nirvana's 'Come As You Are'. As we all know, Cobain shot himself. Suicide is also a form of violence. But I don't think that music promotes violence, plus the lyrics were 'I don't have a gun'. But it's ironic, huh? that he killed himslef but his last words were of love and peace and empathy. That's why I'll never consider suicide, it took away probably the best musician of this generation.

I hope that as some in our generation hail Nirvana as the voice of our generation, let us have in mind the last words Cobain scribbled in read ink with his childlike handwriting before he took his gun, point is at his left temple and pulled the trigger:

"Peace, Love and Empathy,"
