WILLIAM M. LEE died 22 May 1815 in Butler County, Kentucky. On 28 Jun 1789, he was mentioned as a creditor of Dr. David Ramsey for land in Jefferson County. Virginia, recorded in 1798 in the District of Charles Town, South Carolina and in 1806 in Ohio County, Kentucky. In 1799 and 1800, he paid taxes in Ohio County. He was appointed in 1811 to help with the survey, opening and in repair "of the road from the county line to the flat rock in the direction to the Butler County Courthouse". Listed with William was a John Lee (possible brother). William was appointed in March 1812 as a Commissioner of Taxes in the Company of Capt. Davis.
