I have heard that poetry is a form of self expression, it is
also a release from reality, a way that one can let go of pain,
and hold on to what is good in the world.
---------------------------
Am I merely clever,
or am I truely wise?
When I try to speak,
I often improvise.
--------------------------
What I really want to know
is are you like me?
Do you think, feel, be,
and if so does this mean
that all this time
I was really not alone?
--------------------------
Great harm
this that comes on such soft waves
Great peace
as you lay, at last, in silence
You as I have known you
as I now know you to be
I turn towards and away
from you in one swift motion
that rends me
In two
I now face you
In two I am now both
a reflection of you and
a reflection of myself
Great harm
that which I choose for myself
Great peace
that which flows now
---------------------------
A murderous lechery
doth seep into minds
too closed.
And the darkness grows
into your mind
taught you
through cold silence
Angry violent waves flow
into, over, and through
your very being
demanding control
And the darkness grows
As in your silent screams
all who might have helped,
slowly move away
And the darkness grows
into you, under you,
it lives in your mind
through you and taught you
as your life is left behind
------------------------------
Be well
I was not there as long as you
and I will never forget
What I saw and felt
You can't hold anything back
You will recover
You have gone through pain
but in doing so it came into you.
Anger and sadness,
you are not as you were before
like a black cloud through
your mind and body
Do not fear
anger comes out of you in waves
this black too,
will pass the same
Heal yourself, be well
be angry, but let it pass
you were in the darkest of places
Your closest space has been violated
be aware of what has happened,
recall all that you can
you are with freinds now
their love surrounds you.
It is darkness that all must face
in one way or another
but you are strong, you will live
and more than that
you will have your life again.
