Check out the link on my link's page. The Twilight Poetess's First Encounter with Lisa Kane: The first time I heard Lisa play was August of 2000. My boyfriend, Abrahm (referred to as Dusk Treader here) wanted me to go with him and see her perform. I came and listened to her in a coffee house in Stillwater, Minnesota. Her funk/folk melodies caught in my head, the guitar was superb, and her vocals reflected an earthy beauty. I was even more awed when she sat down and talked to us. Even though I'd only known her a a single evening and only heard a few songs, I knew that I had met someone special. She emanated a spirit and a compassion that few people possess. I knew that the next crossroads in my life would lead to me taking guitar lessons under her guidance.  Lisa and her puppy Hanna I've learned so much from Lisa in the year I've been her student. Her skill for playing guitar and also for song writing has helped me tap into a whole new world of creativeness for me, which now includes songwriting of my own.
