Things That Go Bump in the Closet

Comments: This painting took me 5 hours to make.
I was going for a creepy feeling in this one.
When I was in 4th or 5th grade we had a project that involved making crystals by supersaturating a
jar of water with salt and suspending a string in the middle. Within a few days a large white salt crystal
was formed. The problem came when I left it in my locker and forgot about it for a whole year. When I finally
decided to clean my locker, I saw it. The salt crystal became orange and overflowed from the jar and stuff was
growing out of it.
So you can see how the thought of a potted plant growing inside a cabinet (a completely unusual place for
it to be in), without sunlight or watering, can be quite disconcerning.
That added to the fact that you can't see what else is in there beside it, if anything.
