COMMUNICATING WITH A DEAF PERSON
> Use gestures and body language as much as needed.  (Many Deaf people are good at reading body language and gestures)

>  Use facial expressions as much as you can (Like when you're hurt, use "wincing" expression or a pained look on your face)  However, do not make fun of anything else or exaggerate.

> Speak clearly and slowly. Face directly towards deaf person as well.

> Do not shake your head or turn your head around. That can make reading lips very difficult.

> Do not mumble or cover your mouth while speaking.

> Do not chew gum or talk with a cigarette in mouth

> Paper and pen are always good and it makes communication much easier. (Do not be scared to write back and  forth)

> Do not be frustrated or discouraged when attempting to communicate with a Deaf person.

> Do not yell at him or her.

>  Do not attempt to speak far away. (Imagine trying to hear a conversation in a crowded room)  It is preferred to talk at an arm's length or slightly more so that he/she can read your lips clearly)
