I remember when PASSION came out last year and every Christian in the world was raving on and on about how good it is and that Mel Gibson is such a clever asshole blah blah.. And then you also had all the critics bagging out Passion as a really shitty, perverted movie (which I agree).

From a religious / spiritual / Christian perspective, this movie seriously didn't do anything for me. The whole movie was directed pretty poorly and no connection was made to draw the audience's empathy toward the protagonist Christ. Yeah you had whacko's and random assholes bawling their eyes out in the cinema when Christ was getting whacked by Roman guards - ONLY because it was Jesus Christ. If was any random asshole, no one would care.
From an artistic point of view, the only thing I can commend Gibson for is the good use of symbolic representation depicting the devil throughout the film and the amount of research put into the process of crucifixion. The rest of the movie is bullshit. The only reason the film did so well in the box office is the amount of controversy it collected.
Whenever I bagged out the Passion there was always some lame naive fucker saying shit like "I didnt understand the movie" or "You're Satan" or "Youre going to hell you ugly perverted skankwhore". All those Christian cult whackos said that Mel Gibson's US$25 Million investment of the Passion was so good, that its gonna be awarded best film, best directing, best actor (Jim Cazviel) and all this random shit. Well its 2005 and the last time I checked the list of nominations I didn't find Passion of the Christ up there.
"The dialogue is in Aramaic, Greek, and Latin. The languages add a sense of authenticity to the film but I must admit Aramaic sounds a bit like Klingon."

Apparantly a shitload of people were so "touched" by this shitty movie that they actually converted to Christianity - which is a load of bullshit. This movie is crap , AMEN.
