KISS
live @ Sycrause, NY 9-16-00

KISS ARMY Jason and I went to see Kiss in Scyaruse, NY on Saturday Sept. 16, 2000. Sadly this would be the last time we will see the Rock legends live cause it is their farewell tour. The drive wasn't to bad from our college in Putney, Vermont, only 3 and half hours. On the trip we listen to all the Kiss Alive albums. We got to the venue with time to catch the opening acts: Skid Row and Ted Nugent. However they the venue was switched from the Carrier Dome to the War Memorial Civic Center which was only right down the street. No big deal we thought at first. We went to the Civic Center and asked where the Will Call was so we could pick up our tickets. Everyone told us five different locations where to go and we walked around the the huge building five times. Mean while Skid Row played and now Ted Nugent just started playing. Finally someone told us that we had to go to this other building next door where the Will Call was. So we went down the street to it. We got our tickets and went back to the Civic Center. The guy at the gate said that we had to switch our tickets sense our tickets were for the old venue and the seats did not exist in this arean. So we had to go all the way back to where we first got our tickets from Will call. There we had to exchange our tickets. For some reason, they couldn't tell us this right when we got our tickets from Will call. The guy was nice enough to give us better seats for this reason, right next to the stage. We finally got back to the Civic Center and got in the just as Ted Nuggent got off the stage.  This sucked, but we did get to see Kiss for the last time and it was best. We wanted the best, we got the best. The whole thing felt like something out of the movie Detroit Rock City. After the show we waited around and got to meet the guys as they came out and went into their vans. They said hi as they went by and we got to see them w/out their make up. Gene had so many wrinkles on his face. Look like he could be my grandfather, live all he had to do was point at a girl to get them  backstage. Here is pics and one of Jason and I at the concert.
