| Inforgrames latest racing sim for a the GBA takes you into a 3-D world of racing I find impressing when its about a hand held. With all these latest games coming out in 3-D on a system that was mostly ment to play "the ultimate 2-D games". I like the idea of pushing the hardwares capibilities to bring us something new. V-Rally 3 is a realistic racing simulation much like the ones you see for the Playstation and N64. It's got licenced vehicles like Ford, Volkswagen, and Renault. You race in well definded coures with realistic physics and can change the camra angles such as a first person perspective. One great addition in the title that I like to see are the different changing weather effects from track to track. Like snow and rain. This will effect the way your car manuvours and you might want to take percausions. There are some options to make things more interesting such as the ability to adjest your car parts such as your tires to suit the terain you'll be tracking on. When your racing there are on screen displays that indicates when to make a turn, your speed, your lap times and the condition of the car parts. V-Rally 3 includes a two player racing mode where you and a friend link up two Game Boy Advances Via the link cable for head to head racing. The graphics from what I've seen from screenshots look quite impressing. From the background trees and landscapes to the track details on the road. There a different wheather effects from race to race including snow and rain Even though I have not played this title I would probably recommend it from what I know. V-Rally 3 looks promissing and I'm sure most racing fans would enjoy it. |
