On the 19th of October, all the members of the Silver Street Family (here in Cambridge, we have sorted Singaporeans into families, and we are named Silver Street because our colleges line Silver Street itself and thus we're being named as such.) got together for a wonderful cookout at my place, in Queens' College.
Yay, I'm going to have some wonderful Chinese food to eat for dinner, FINALLY! =P yum yum!!! |

At 3pm, I went down to Sainsbury to meet Chen Chen and Eric to go grocery shopping before we started out cooking, well for me, its more like cutting and chopping time because I can't cook for peanuts... until today. |

This is the outcome of our hard-work! We spent over three hours in the kitchen. I spent all my time deboning chicken thighs, chopping up ribs, washing dishes, slicing asparagus but it was worth it all!
I learnt how to make an omelette... so very please with myself.
We had sweet and sour pork ribs, omelette, sambal asparagus and brinjal, spinach with mushrooms, beef with gey zi (i'm not sure if i got the spelling correct) and chicken curry (this is eric's masterpiece).

This is everybody, sitting on my floor, where the table used to be and now its on my bed. And I am very amazed that my room can actually fit so many people! Astonishing!
So starting from the beautiful lady on the bottom right, going clockwise (don't worry, everybody's beautiful... so are you, Michelle.. *grin*): Joy, Sabbie, Wenyi, Siau Yin, Tim, Ben, Chen Chen, Eric, Boon Tat aka Michelle, and Allan.

Dessert was fantastic, we had Konyaku jelly... reminds me so much of home!!
So thats the remains of our dinner... gosh! it was so good! I'm already salivating!!! *drool* |

And thus, after dinner, we had to do some cleaning up which was worth it, because the dinner was so so yummy!

The two kitchens are connected by a huge swing door which most of the people use as a passageway from one staircase to another. |
