Why am I doing this? Tossing aside piles of paper filled with scribbles I stuff a few cans filled with marvelous colors into my dark canvas book bag, then wrap myself in a puffy black coat Alone I find myself wandering aimlessly through out the streets Finally I meet up with someone familiar The empty white steel siding of a large truck jumps out against a cold dark urban background Unable to resist its call, i stride towards it I carefully observe my surroundings, only to support the fact that I'm alone. I assure myself that no one is watching me as I pull a can out of my bag, i cant afford to shake it here The first spray drips out watery and clear Quickly it transforms into a dull black With gracefull movements, I sweep my hand back and forth across my canvas, poisonous fumes burning my nostril >>CLANK<< Damn! Metal meets metal, the result, a thunderous noise fills the once empty atmosphere I had enjoyed just moments before I curse at myself as I quickly apply the finishing touches on the cryptic hieroglyphics drying on the damp surface of someones vehicle. Whats the point? will anyone even be able to read this? why am i... These questions quickly fall out of my brain as I hear a noise behind me I turn around to see a large man standing only a few yards away Only one thought fills my head now... run! Bolting through John Doe's backyard, I fumble through the blackness Ruining flower beds and damaging weak fences in my escape. The white beam of a policemans maglight probes the darkness hoping to spear me with its justice. My heart pounds with excitement, more cars have joined the game But I like the odds. I commando my way along the ground Dirt staining the belly of the puffy jacket. I don't care though It's "psycho"s coat. A few moments later and I'm blocks away from the scene Heart still thunderously beating, I find my way home. The streets are hot, I call it a night. A few days later I'm downtown smokin with some friends "Hey look," says fuckin guy #1 "isn't that your tag?" "Why, yes." says I to that fuckin guy #1 as my truck rolls by, "yes it is." You could see a dull spot in the throw where someone had tried cleaning it off. But that only added to its greatness. It was a precious moment, even if it only lasted for the breif half of a second it took for the truck to drive by... "Word up" says fuckin guy #2 "cbu kicks ass" - SK ETCH -
