What if a patron can't find the name of a composer, the title of a song, or the sheet music for a particular tune, who does one ask?

Please ask for help at the Reference Desk.

What if the patron needs to access a journal that is out of print?

This library is a member of the Music Librarians' Association. We will do a search for you with this network. Check with the Reference Desk.

Does the library have access to a list of musicians for hire?

The library can provide you with a list of musicians available in the area.

General FAQ

Where and how can one obtain library cards?

Free cards can be obtained by presenting two pieces of ID at the Check In Desks.

How does one replace lost cards?

Lost cards should be reported to the Library immediately. Cards will be replaced at a cost of $1.00.

When and where can one return library materials?

Materials can be returned during library hours or can be deposited in the exterior repositories located at the front of the building, beside the statue of Bach.

How can items be renewed?

Most items can be renewed at the Library or by phone, provided that a hold has not been placed on an item.

What materials apply to fines? Where are fines listed?

Fines are charged on all overdue materials. These are listed on OPAC, at the Check In Desks, or on a bookmark.

What items do holds cover?

If a requested item is not on the shelves, a hold can be placed on it.
