Morning to enjoy Redwoods, after lunch drive along Trinity River, stopping in Weaverville to see Joss House. Night in Shasta Lake area with a view of Mount Shasta.
Day to hike and explore Lassen Volcanic National Park. Camp there for the night.
Long days drive through Northeast California and Southeast Oregon to Boise, Idaho.
Day in Boise visiting with Jalali family. Second night with them.
Day to cross southern Idaho, stopping for several hours at Craters of the Moon National Monument. Arrive in Jackson, Wyoming for the night.
First day in Grand Teton National Park. Camp there
Second day in Grand Teton National Park. Second night camping there.
Drive up to Yellowstone and spend the evening at Old Faithful.
Day in Yellowstone, stopping at Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, night at Mammoth Hot Springs.
Morning at Mammoth Hot Springs, rest of day driving through western Montana to the Kalispell area.
Day in Glacier National Park.
Day to go over the "Going to the Sun Highway" and spend the night in Medicine Hat.
