Night 2. Motel near Lansing or Flint.

Day 3. Huckleberry Railroad and Crossroads Village (north of Flint). Cross into Sarnia.

Night 3. Motel in Sarnia.

Day 4. Pinery Provincial Park on Lake Huron.

Night 4. Sleep in a Yurt in Pinery Provincial Park

Day 5. Day to hike around Pinery Provincial Park.

Night 5. Second night in Pinery Provincial Park

Day 6. Ska-Nah-Doht Indian Village (32 km west of London). Strathroy Middlesex Museum in Strathroy (about 29 km west of London). London, Ontario (London Regional Children's Museum. Storybook Gardens and Springbank Park)

Night 6. Motel in London, Woodstock, or Brantford.

Day 7. Get to campsite in Rock Piont Provincial Park or campground in Port Colborne (along Lake Erie). Evening in Niagara Falls.

Night 7. Camping on Lake Erie near Niagara Falls

Day 8. Day in Niagara Falls.

Night 8. Second night camping near Lake Erie.

Day 9. To Toronto. Ontario Science Center. CN Tower

Night 9. Hotel in Toronto

Day 10. Royal Ontario Museum.

Night 10. Second night in Toronto Hotel

Day 11. Ontario Place.

Night 11. Third night in Toronto Hotel

Day 12. Morning in Toronto. Afternoon drive to Wasaga Beach. See Nancy Island Historic Site.

Night 12. Camp in Collingwood or Owen Sound or Wasaga Beach.

Day 13. Story Book Park in Owen Sound. Hike around Sauble Falls Provincial Park. Bruce Peninsula National Park.

Night 13. Camp in Bruce Peninsula National Park or Tobermory.

Day 14. Cruise around Fathom Five National Marine Park.

Night 14. Second night in Bruce Peninsula National Park or Tobermory.

Day 15. Ferry from Tobermory to South Baymouth (Manitoulin Island). Day on Manitoulin Island.

Night 15. Camp or find a room in a motel on Manitoulin Island,

Day 16. Day on Manitoulin Island. Late afternoon drive up to Massey or Blind River.

Night 16. Camp or motel in Massey or Blind River.

Day 17. Timber Village Museum in Blind River. On to Sault Ste Marie

Night 17. Night in Sault Ste Marie (motel or camping).

Day 18. Day to see locks in Saulte Ste Marie, then down to St. Ignace (camp there).

Night 18. Camp near St. Ignace

Day 19. Day trip to Mackinac Island.

Night 19. Return for second night near St. Ignace in campground

Day 20. Drive along north Lake Michigan, stopping in Manistique, Rapid River, and Escanaba.

Night 20. Motel in Wisconsin, either in Marinette or Oconto

Day 21. Drive south to Wisconsin Dells, stopping in Copper Culture Mount State Park (near Oconto), National Railroad Museum in Green Bay, and maybe EAA Air Adventure Museum in Oshkosh.

Night 21. Wisconsin Dells (camping or motel)

Day 22. Day to take a tour of the Wisconsin Dells

Night 22. Second night in Wisconsin Dells

Day 23.Drive home

Alternative Extension if one wants to take a 5 week trip rather than a 3 week trip:

Day 20, instead of going south from Esccanaba, drive east on US-2/US-41 to Iron Mountain, Crystal Falls, and on to Wakefield or Ironwood (all towns in Michigan along Wisconsin border).

Night 20. In Ironwood or Wakefield or Crystal Falls or Iron Mountain. (Michigan)

Day 21. Drive to Bayfield. Take ferry to Madeline Island and camp there.

Night 21. Camping on Madeline Island (Big Bay State Park)

Day 22. Apostle Islands National Lakeshore.

Night 22. Second night on Madeline Island.

Day 23. To Duluth. See Duluth.

Night 23. In Duluth.

Day 24. Drive from Duluth, MN to Kenora, Ontario. Stop along the way in International Falls, MN and Nestor Falls, and Sioux Narrows.

Night 24. Kenora. Camping.

Day 25. Shuttle Ferry to Coney Island for a swim. Lake of the Woods Museum. Drive to Winnipeg in the afternoon.

Night 25. Winnipeg.

Day 26. Winnipeg museums. Museum of Man and Nature. Manitoba Children's Museum. Legislative Building. Science Centre.

Night 26. Second night in Winnipeg.

Day 27. Drive north to Gimli, then get to Hecla Provincial Park.

Night 27. Night camping in Hecla Provincial Park.

Day 28. See Narcisse Wildlife Wildlife Management Area snake pits. Dauphin.

Night 28. Camping in Riding Mountain National Park.

Day 29. Hiking in Riding Mountain National Park. Then drive down to Wasagaming, Brandon, and get to Spruce Woods Provincial Park.

Night 29. Camping in Spruce Woods Provincial Park.

Day 30. Hike in Spruce Woods Provincial Park. Drive down to International Peace Gardens. Drive down to Devils Lake in North Dakota.

Night 30. Devils Lake. Camping or motel.

Day 31. Morning to enjoy Devils Lake. Stop in Grand Forks, ND and Fargo, ND on drive to Minneapolis.

Night 31. Motel near Minneapolis.

Day 32. Minneapolis.

Night 32. Stay in Minneapolis a second night.

Day 33. Morning in Minneapolis. Afternoon drive to Wisconsin Dells.

Night 33. Wisconsin Dells (motel or camping).

Day 34. Wisconsin Dells.

Night 34. Second night in Wisconsin Dells.
