Day Three: RENTAL CAR
Drive or rail to Norwich in the morning (4 hours with long stop in Colchester to see city).
See Cathedral and Castle in Norwich.
Night in Norwich at Crofter�s Hotel.

Day Four: RENTAL CAR
Second day to sightsee in Norwich and Anglia.
Second night in Norwich at Crofter�s Hotel.

Day Five: RENTAL CAR
Long drive across England to Shrewsbury, stopping to see villages and castles along the way. (Eight hours with three long stops on the way.) Night in Shrewsbury at Berwyn House.

Day Six: RENTAL CAR
Drive into northern Wales. Stop for a hike in Snowdonia National Park. (3.5 hours driving)
Sleep in Hotel Portmeirion near Porthmadog.

Day Seven: RENTAL CAR
See Harlech Castle. Perhaps ride the Festiniog Narrow Gauge Railway (built in 1836) in northern Wales. Second night at Hotel Portmeirion.

Day Eight: RENTAL CAR
Drive through Wales into the Cottswolds (4.5 hours driving). Possibly take an afternoon hike through villages or Welsh mountains. See Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold.
Night in Cheltenham at Parkview.

Day Nine: RENTAL CAR
Stop in Stratford-upon-Avon or Oxford on way south to Avebury, Stonehenge, and Salisbury (2.5 hours of driving).
Night in or near Salisbury at Bed & Breakfast.

Day Ten: RENTAL CAR
From Salisbury drive back to London (2.5 hours). Turn in car. See Westminster Abby and Houses of Parliament in the afternoon.
Night in London at Elizabeth Hotel.

Day Eleven: RAIL
Rail from London across the Channel to France (4 hours).
Go from Calais to Lille (1 hour). See Mus�e de Beau Arts in the afternoon. Spend night in Lille at Hotel Faidherbe.

Day Twelve: RAIL
From Lille go south to Paris (3.5 hours). Afternoon in Paris sight-seeing.
Night in Paris at Hotel Bonne-Nouvelle.

Day Thirteen: FOOT
Day in Paris. See a museum.
Second night at Hotel Bonne-Nouvelle.

Day Fourteen: RAIL
Rail to Luxembourg (4 hours). Afternoon in Luxembourg sight-seeing.
Night in Luxembourg at Carlton Hotel.

Day Fifteen: RENTAL CAR
South from Luxembourg to Hagondange (30 min) to see Big Bang Schtroumpf theme park. Afternoon drive to Metz (30 min) to visit Cath�dral St-Etienne (Lantern of God). Visit battlefield site such as Verdun (1 hour away).
Night in youth Hostel in St.-Mihiel (30 min south of Verdun) or Metz.

Day Sixteen: RENTAL CAR
From Metz or St.-Mihiel to Nancy (45 min). See Art Nouveau museum in Nancy. See also Place Stanislas and Lorraine Museum. Drive up into Vosges in the evening (2 hours) Night in a village in the Vosges, perhaps St. Di�.

Day Seventeen: RENTAL CAR
Morning hike in Vosges until 9:00. See historical library in St-Di� until 10:00. Drive into Strausborg (1.5 hours), arriving at 11:30 to see clock at noon. Afternoon see Strausborg.
Night in Strasbourg at Hotel Kl�ber.

Day Eighteen: RENTAL CAR
Drive from Strausborg through Black Forest to Zurich (4 hours driving with a stop in M�llheim in Schwarzwald). See sights in Zurich (Schweizerisches Landesmuseum) The zoo is supposed to be good. Night in Zurich at Hotel Italia or Hotel Z�richberg.

Day Nineteen: RENTAL CAR
From Zurich to Vaduz (2 hours). See sights in Liechtenstein. Night in Vaduz at Hotel Engel.

Day Twenty: RENTAL CAR / RAIL
Drive along Rhine and Rhone valleys to Visp (2.5 hours). Park car in Visp, and take train to Zermatt. Hike in Zermatt.
Night in Zermatt at Mischabel.

Day Twenty-One: FOOT
Day in Zermatt. Hike in mountains. Perhaps take cable cars to Klein Matterhorn.
Second night at Mischabel in Zermatt.

Day Twenty-Two: RAIL / RENTAL CAR
Return from Zermatt to Visp. Drive along Rhone Valley to Martigny. Drive over Grand Saint Bernard Pass into Italy. See Collegiata Di Sant� Orso in Aosta. (3.5 hours driving time)
Spend night in Aosta, Italy at the Juventos.

Day Twenty-Three: RENTAL CAR
From Aosta to Turin (1.5 hours), Italy. Spend day in Turin. See the Borgo E Castello Medioevale. Art Nouveau buildings. Night in Turin at Pensione Roma.

Day Twenty-Four: RENTAL CAR
Drive to Milano (2.5 hours) Sight-see in Milan. See Catherdral and Castello Sforzesco.
Night in Milan at Pensione Jolanda.

Day Twenty-Five: RENTAL CAR
Drive to Genoa (2.5 hours), then drive east along coast to Camogli (near Portofino, east of Genova about 20 kms). If hiking around the Cinque Terre perhaps see Convento dei Cappuccini in Monterosso al Mare. Or take boat for visit to San Fruttuoso from Camogli.
Stay at Pensione La Camogliese in Camogli.

Day Twenty-Six: RENTAL CAR
After morning walk in Camogli drive to Monaco (3 hours). See Mus�e Oc�anographique et Aquarium in Monaco. Night at Relais International de la Jeunesse "Thalassa" in Cap D�Ail.

Day Twenty-Seven: RENTAL CAR
Rest and relax. See Jardin Exotique and Mus�e Marc Chagall.

Long drive from Nice to Carcassonne (5 hours taking some scenic coastal roads from Nice to Marseilles and stopping often along the way). Walk around Carcassonne in the evening.

Day Twenty-Nine: RENTAL CAR
Drive to Andorra (2 hours). Sight-see in Andorra. Night in Andorra at Hotel Florida.

Day Thirty: RENTAL CAR
Drive to Barcelona (2 hours). Sight-see in Barcelona. Maybe turn in rental car Night in Barcelona at Hostal Capitol.

Day Thirty-One: FOOT
Day in Barcelona to enjoy the sights. Be sure to see Catedral and Parc G�ell.
