Nagano trip
Words can't describe the emancipation one feels gliding over the snow. Toe edge, heel edge, once you have the edge, you have the edge over life! Togari Onsen in Nagano was so good that we went there twice. Highlights included: jumping over a moving snow plough (God's truth!) and sharing an onsen with a J-Pop boy band!
One of my snowboarding partners in crime.
Dinner at the lovely Ryokan - just what you need after a hard days snowboarding.
Met some friendly Japanese guys at the motorway stop.
Sue had a bit of an uncomfortable time on the way home ... can you guess why?
As high as we could go on the mountain. God what would I give to be back there now!
January and March 2003
After 20 years of marriage and a nasty divorce, Gerard and Sue finally agree on who will get the cat.
Sue, Edwin and myself at the top of the mountain. I like this picture.
Don't Ed and I just look like a couple of rappers doing a promo on the top of a snow covered mountain? What do you mean no?
Look at the snow outfits that the Ryokan was actually RENTING out to people. We just had to try them on and take comedy pictures that we will show to our grandchildren!
Is there a problem Ed?
To watch video from our trip:
