Vietnam trip
What can I say? Just look at the pics and enjoy!
Sat by the Japanese bridge in the lovely little town of Hoi-an
This was truely depraved! Two "lovers" we spotted having a nice moment to themselves on the Mekon delta!
God bless Vietnam ... nice sunburn eh?
This is a photo of the Vietnamese monk who famously set fire to himself. His self-immolation was in protest against the corrupt south Vietnamese governent.
The pagoda that the afforementioned monk resided at. It is one of Vietnam's most famous sights.
Mystical statues guarding a tomb in Hue
Isabel and I after diving in Na Thrang. We look pleased but it was quite a miserable experience - visibility was about 10 metres! Well, at least they put on a nice meal for us afterwards.
Look at how this crazy Vietnamese woman is cycling!
flossing time!
Isabel with her favourite play-thing!
A vietnamese kid trying to get Isabel's favourite playing!
The view of Halong bay. The weather may have been awful but it was a truely beautiful sight
Vietnam's most revered - uncle Ho!
A game of keep up Vietnamese style! They use a cool little shuttlecock type thing! Very addictive!
Ok. This was a filming that we stumbled across at the palace in Saigon. It was a reconstruction of the forceful entering of the palace compound by the north Vietnamese army after the south surrendered. It was bloody fantastic seeing that tank smash down the huge gates! I felt like I was really witnessing an important piece of history take place again.
