| E.I. formed outside a Misfits show in 1998. Originally E.I. began with Matt Gay, Bruce Parks, Aaron Young, and Rob Pheeney.Within 6 months E.I. would share the stage with Canadian Punk legends the Dayglo Abortions. |
| One year after the band was conceived E.I. would open for the Misfits taking the band full circle from where it began. The line up at this time had changed with the addition of Drew Crawford on guitar and Gumby taking over behind the Skins. |
| In 2000 E.I. recorded its first demo with Art. Shortly afterwards E.I. recorded live at CHSR, Fredericton's Campus Community Radio Station, with Radio Nik. The recording simply called Live from Studio D, would reach #6 in Exclaim's Loud Chart and #1 for the year at CHSR. |
| In 2003 E.I. recorded again with Dave Cook this time with Grant on vocals, Dave on bass, and Jr. on drums. |
| Gumby returned shortly after and Dave left and Ben was recruited to fill the void. This lineup remained for another year and a half taking the band back to Saint John, to Moncton for the first time and even all the way to Montreal. The band recorded again in October of 2004. A month or two later Grant announced that he was leaving to concentrate on a different project. Realizing that Grant was irreplacable, E.I. decided not to, and now are a four piece with everybody contributing to the vocals. |
