Welcome everyone. I’m Esther Bubbleworth and will guide
you through the world of Lives to Live, my favourite soap opera. I’ll be giving
you all my opinion on the latest storyline, or informing you of the latest
arrivals to the show.
My
Thoughts on Episode Thirty Three
So Nicole kicked Justin out and went a little crazy? Looks like my
guess was wrong. I doubt this story is over though. It couldn’t be left
hanging. Innocence with be proven, good will prevail I’m sure. Although I
have been wrong. The montage with the music was a really nice touch – although everyone
did seem to be pretty upset. Another big Judi moment, as she walked into the
Ritz Bar and discovered Alex and Sara. I just wish we didn’t have to wait
until next episode. After overcoming her disaster with Russell, and now to
walk into this disaster. Nice to see Kayla, she’s barely had anyone storylines
at all this season, apart from her feud with Paris and her brief story with
Jacob. Russell’s burning Judi’s picture moment was strange. Is he having a mental breakdown? Being married to conniving Camille, losing his baby and also having an affair with Judi probably has taken its toll. And he has Cleo as his niece, who seems to have changed her character totally since season one. The moment in the montage with her and Joel was interesting, but did Mattie seem jealous? Gabe is someone else who seems to have changed between seasons one and two. In season one he was the baddie, who we all loved to hate but now we know he was blackmailed by Divine. I’m glad that he threw away the old cocaine though. Shows how much he has changed and grown as a character. Poor Paris. It was painful to watch her and April talk. She really likes Nate, but she thinks that he isn’t interested. But April seems so nice, and really deserves to be happy. It is such a mess. SpoilersHenri has doubts about Justin’s guilt in Episode 34 as Craig makes a new friend. Episode 35 sees Gabe confront Chardonnay and Nate’s date goes well. In Episode 36 an old face returns, and quickly meets a new one. Elsewhere the Heather storyline reaches a surprising twist, as the Laurent/Vincent family have their toughest day ever. Contract
News
Its that time of the season again, when contracts come up for
renewal. So far eight cast members have been signed up for season three,
although one is in doubt (see below). Now a press release has been sent out, revealing that four more stars
have been signed up. Galen Gering (Jean Luc), Rachael Leigh Cook (Kayla), Ty Treadway (Alex)
and Jay Pickett (Gabe) will all be appearing. Another
wedding guest
Former 24 star Sarah Wynter is joining Lives to Live as Charity,
girlfriend of James Anders. Dylan McDermott, himself recently axed from TV
show the Practice, is to play James. Wynter is said to be delighted about the
role. “I’m really looking forward to filming my role on such a great show.”
The Australian actress said. And quizzed on the possibility of a long term
role she said, “I’d jump at the chance. Charity is such a great character,
and I would love to have even more scenes with some of the sexiest men on
TV.” The wedding guests sure seem to be played by popular actors and
actresses. Some have suggested that the high profile casting is deliberative,
as bosses hope to bring in extra viewers. Major
Star Leaving?
The latest developments are that bosses have revealed that “one
character, who is signed for season three, could be written out of the show
for up to or more than fifteen of the twenty episodes in season three, but
will remain on contract.” Also they have denied that it will be one of the
newly signed stars, who have recently signed season three contracts. Also
Finola Hughes has been quoted as saying that “Judi needs a new man in her
life, and bosses have told me that she will in season three.” These spoilers
are said to have annoyed bosses, but they do make it unlikely that Judi will
be the one who is written out for the fifteen or more episodes. Catherine Hickland (Leslie), Kelly Ripa (Chardonnay), David Lago (Nate), James dePavia (Victor), Finola Hughes (Judi), Amber Tambyln (Paris), Kristoff St. John (Russell) and Tonya Lee Williams (Camille) are already signed up, and four more stars have signed this week. Hickland and dePavia form undoubtedly one of the most popular couples on the show. And Ripa’s character is also unlikely to be leaving, as the character is probably the best loved character on the show. This leaves Lago and Hughes, but with both having large followings, will this affect the show? Back to the Frontpage
