Philosophies of Life
In the Exaulted Highpriest's last thoughts on the Temple site, he encouraged us to "Live the Journey". It is my belief that life in and of itself is one hell of a journey. How we live the journey is directly related to the path that we take. It is often said to "take the path of least resistance", which, consequently, is the path most taken. On the other hand, I beleive it nessecary to take the path of GREATEST reistance, the path least traveled. I am of the belief system that everything that is suppose to happen to us in this life to help us move on to the next is already pre-determined by us thru our higherselves in conjunction with everyone elses higher self, and its not going to change unless there is a general concencus that it should and will change. Its funny how life works, when we set out to do something with the desired result as our goal. The longing we have to fulfill that goal, that dream, leaves us chasing it endlessly. All our life we search for the meaning of it, never once realizing that the answer to that question has been staring us in the face all along. Thru the joy and the sadness, the laughter and the pain, its been there all along. We seem to take things for granted and not "Live the Journey" even thou we think we are. The wise man knows but does not speak, the fool speaks but does not know. It's like that inscription on the sideview mirrors on our cars "objects in mirror may be closer than they seem". We all look at death thru our side mirrors, thinking that one day it will happen, but not yet, but the object in the mirror may be in fact closer than it seems. Picture yourself as a car, you have someplace to go, and two ways to get there, the low road or the high road. On the low road there arent any potholes, nothing thats going to scratch your paint, no one who is going to hit you or dent you, it is the path of least resistance, the path most taken. On the high road, however, there are massive potholes in the road, overhaning brush that  scratch your paint, an occasional careless driver who may hit you, things you could run into and get dented, this is the path of most resistance, the path least taken. In the end the destination may or may not be the same, but think of it this way, which is going to build more character for you? The path that made you stronger and more alert because you were forced to pay attention to your surroundings or the path that you just cruised along without fear of consequences? Thats what life is in a nutshell. People take life for granted, they use and abuse themselves and others to get ahead, thinking that the more money they make or the more power they have, the happier they will be, and when they reach their pinnacle they remember how much happier they were when they were the low man on the totem pole and had so little responsiblities. Many people go thru life lamenting everything bad that has happened to them in the past, imagining life without the pain and thinking about how much better it would be, but how many of us go thru life wondering what it would be like without the joys? How many have let it occur to them that without pain there cant be joy? The physicists know it. It's Newton's Third Law of Relativity. "Every action will have an equal but opposite re-action." For every joy you experience, you will experience the same amount of pain. It's part of the Journey. Keep in mind that this life is just one fraction of the journey, not the be all and end all of it. There are 7 levels of the soul, and seven sublevels within each level, and to obtain each level and sublevel we incarnate an average of seven times to reach a new point, thus making it so that we incarnate an average of  349 times we arent always going to get it right on the first life guys). This may be our first incarnation, but then again this may be our last. We won't know what more is left for us until after we've completed this leg of the journey, dont prematurly predict as such.

Be aware of the people and spirits around you. Be conscious of the things that happen to you, the circumstances that follow you. That's what makes this life worth living. Life is the cause, not the result of the journey we take.  The nature of our life is directly proportionate to the path we choose.  Wether it be the high road or the low road, let it be the road for you. Living your life for someone else, or the way someone else tells you to live it will only make things worse for you. Just because of something ive said, or the high preist has said, or one of your friends have said, does not nessicarily mean that it is right for you. Life can be pretty fucked up some times, and only you can decide how to play your cards. Just make sure whatever you do makes YOU happy, it doesnt matter what anyone else thinks, its you that matters.
