Wishing I Were Her
I saw you among the crowd
And my heart seemed to stop
Your ravishing smile and your beautiful eyes
I went weak in the knees.
Then, without a word,
You turned to her.
You took her hand
And whispered something with a smile.
Everything seemed to stop at that moment.
My smile faded away,
And something sharp had pierced my heart
Yet I tried to regain my posture.
A tear rolled down
As you passed me by.
I stood there motionless
Wishing I were her.
