Utter Darkness
Lying in utter darkness,
The thoughts came rushing in.
Your eyes, your smile, your face
Filled up my mind instantly.
I cant shake this feeling.
The feeling of wanting you
Fueled to a greater extent
Whenever I see you.
I remember that moment vividly
As if a Shakespearean play
Waiting to be memorized
And known by heart.
Our eyes met
In complete silence we stood
Then without a word
You turned to her.
What I felt no longer made sense.
Your eyes had said a thousand words
Yet you looked away
And gently took her hand.
In that split-second
My heart seemed to die
Confusion dictated my mind
The feeling of stupidity rushed in.
How have you entrapped me?
With your enchanting smile,
Or the spell of your eyes?
Im forever trapped, in utter darkness, still wanting you.
