Greetings from Boston!! How's everyone? I'm just having tons of fun here. We left from David's house around 11:30ish cuz we had to wait for one of his friends. The ride wasn't too bad at all. It took about 9 hrs but for the first couple of hours we were all chatting. David's friends are Phil and Jun-Hoon and they have just graduated from college too. Phil went to UVA but I've never met him and Jun-Hoon, I don't know where he went to but he majored in Bio so I talked to him about that for a bit. He just took the MCATs the other day and it was 8 hours!!!! For those of you who don't know...the MCATs is like the SATs for medicine. It's all about biology and medicine. And you need to have a specific number correct to continue on with med path. So yup...I'm a bit scared about it. Anyway, we switched drivers after a while and stopped at a rest area to eat. Of course it was around 2am so only Burger King was open and they only had 1 person taking orders and handing out food while 1 person prepares them in the kitchen. There were a lot of customers and we all had to wait a long time to get our food after our orders. So we ate and then Phil changed with David to drive. After that, the conversation kinda died down. David and Wynn were sitting next to each other and they were cuddling and Phil and Jun-Hoon were chatting in the front. I talked to them for a while but then I just listened to some music. David was trying to sleep cuz he'll be driving again soon. Jun-Hoon doesn't drive and we got a rental car so only both of them drove. So it was pretty quiet and I was just singing along to my songs by myself. Around 5 though, I dozed off for about half hour so Phil had to drive while all of us were sleeping. And plus he had gone to Kings Dominion for the whole day too. So I bet he was really tired. So almost to 6, they switched again and everybody switched seats. So now it was time for Phil to sleep and everybody tried to be quiet. Since there wasn't anything for me to do, I just listened to some music and I dozed off again for about another half hour. Around 7 though, everyone was up again so we talked for a while. I was looking through a YM magazine and Phil was interested so he looked through it as well. Haha...that was fun! He wanted to know why girls read all these mags. I dunno...they're entertaining?!
We got to Lynn's apartment around 9:30ish and they were ready to have us. We all ate breakfast and Dav's friends went to visit their friend, Steven, at MIT. Godfrey had to go to a conference and David went to sleep. The four of us sisters were talking excitedly. That was awesome! We talked until around 2 something. Then we woke David up and we went all over Boston. We went to Faneurl for lunch. There were so many little shops in the foodcourt and they all had delicious food. That was very nice. YUM! Then we rode a ferry to the USS Constitution and went on the Historical Trail which led us to all the different ships and statues. We went to Bunker Hill Monument which was part of the trail. I've been to all of those places before but it was still fun anyway. We walked all around and went everywhere. We got tired so we stopped at Cold Stone to get some ice cream. There were so many choices and you know how I am with making decisions. We are all like that so we were there for a long time before we ordered. I got Mocha with Heath toffee bits, pecans and caramel. It was good for the first half but after that, it was just too sweet for me. I should have gone with Coffee ice cream... Oh, well. We went to Boston Common Park next where we dipped our feet in the Frog Pond. It's not really a pond with frogs or anything. Eww! Do you think I'll ever put my feet in there??!? No frogs! But this pond is about 8 inches deep and it's for people to play around and stuff. But it's only till 6 and we were there after it was closed. Haha...yeah, we're bad!! We took lots of pix so that was awesome!!! :D We met up with Godfrey around 8 for dinner at this Chinese restaurant. We didn't come home till it was around 10:30. David was gonna go out with his friends but after a while, he didn't want to anymore cuz he was tired. We walked the whole afternoon and we didn't even have that much sleep last night. At least I didn't. I worked from 10 to 6, came home, took a shower, packed up and went to David's house. We were gonna leave around 9 at first but Phil wasn't back from Kings Dominion yet so we couldn't leave. So last night, I was dead beat. I went to bed around 12 and didn't wake up at all until when Lynn woke me up this morning.
So today, we had breakfast and chilled for a while. We were gonna go do some shopping cuz it's so much fun in Boston to shop around. All the clothes are cheap and you don't pay any taxes for clothes and food. Even the department stores sell brand names at cheaper prices here. I don't know why but they do. So we were gonna go shopping at Boston Common and then go to the beach. But plans changed. We left the house around 12pm so we just went straight to Revere Beach which was beautiful. We all love the water so it was perfect. There were a considerable amount of people but it wasn't crowded. We put our stuff down on the sand and of course, I went straight to the water. Since we thought we were going around first, we didn't have our bathing suits on. So I just played with the water and sand with my feet. The water was cold! But the sun was out and it was a pretty nice temperature. So we took some pix and walked around before we changed. I didn't bring my bathing suit to Boston becuz I didn't know we were going to the beach so Lynn gave me one of hers. That was nice of her. The 6 of us played soccer first...with a little basketball!!! LOL. But that was so much fun. Of course, we got sand in our eyes and face and we kicked each other's legs but it was all good fun. After a while, Aye, Wynn, David and I swam in the water for a while. The water was really cold. We're quite crazy. Virginia is perfect for some swimming. The water temp. is perfect but we had to come to Boston to go swimming. It's quite cold here so even if the sun is out, the wind is pretty cold. And the highest temp. ever was 93 degrees. It's usually around 70s. So we were freezing but it was fun though. Ok, I gotta head out for some dinner. I'll write later. Gotta go!
