What's up everyone? Enjoying your summer? I'm enjoying a little "me" time right now cuz I start work tomorrow. Eeek! Well, I'll be earning some cha-ching, right? A lot of people are working this summer or going on long trips. Some people are already gone. Ali is on a trip with her mom for a week and Aye left for Boston this morning. *sniff sniff* She's gonna be there for an indefinite stay. She's spending time with Lynn and if she can find a good summer job, she's gonna stay there till August. I'm hoping she comes back soon though. I'm pretty mean, huh? :( I miss her a lot and it's just been a day!! Anyway...
These past few days have been pretty eventful. On Friday, Aye and I went to the mall and did some shopping. That was fun! We haven't gone shopping together in soooo long! Since May anyway...haha...well, that wasn't clothes shopping. It was more presents and accessories!! But anyway, we got some clothes and talked. And we went into FYE and guess what I saw. A cutie!!! Uh huh. Of course, I had to take some pix with him! His blue eyes, blonde hair and his bow & arrows...haha...yeah...too bad it was only a life-size stand-up of Legolas! You should see the pix!! I showed them to Sylvie and a few buds and they all thought they were great! Haha...I sure had a good time. The thing was that he was all alone. I tried so hard to just find him for Lindz' birthday present last year and I couldn't. They don't produce him alone. He's always with Gimili! Now, he was all alone and he costs half as much too. I didn't buy it though so don't worry, I'm not that crazy yet. Hmm...come to think of it...if it was Brian Littrell...hmm...maybe then I'll buy it for myself! Hehe. :D What can I say, he's my first love. LOL. I'm not psychotic though. I think he and his wife, Leighanne, are so cute together! And yay...BSB is coming back out this summer! I can't wait. Speaking of BSB, these 2 guys were singing "I Want It That Way" the other night at All Night Grad. They were butchering the song. They didn't know the words! But of course, I was on the side and I was singing along and doing all the Backstreet hand gestures! It was great. Haha.
Yesterday was fun too. I went out and played Putt-Putt with Aye and her friends from Marshall. It's so cool how they are all together still and it's been 2 years. They all go to different schools and they all hang out during breaks and stuff. I've hung out with them in the past as well and they're nice. So we played Mini golf in the middle of the afternoon which was nuts!! LOL. But it was fun. We tried to find some shades while we played. I started out pretty well with just 2 hits and I even made hole in one so I was so proud! And as the game went on, I became bad, which I'm blaming the sun for! Haha. And it was CRAZY cuz Aye and I tied again!!! We both got 59. Haha... I know, we suck! But the last time we played, we tied that time too. GRRRR....we can't be bad at the same level! Afterwards, we ate some refreshing watermelons and chilled in the shade. Some mysterious bug was in the grass and every once in a while, someone would yell. Haha... We went back to Mansi's house to watch "50 First Dates." I had already seen it but I wanted to see it again. It's disgusting in some parts but it's cute. So I was out the whole day and got back home just about 10 minutes before I had to go to Carolina's Grad party. There were adults there too and some people from school that I wasn't close to. And Ali was on her trip and Sylvie was at another party. So for the first hour, I was just chit-chatting with a few people but when Meriem was beside me, we started talking. But other people kept interrupting our conversation so it was hard to talk. I found out some interesting things though. *wink* I haven't talked to her forever. And again...exaggeration! Well, it seemed like forever since Tuesday. :P And then Sylvie came. We talked for a while and I cheered her up with my Legolas pix! That sure was a hit. Everyone wanted to see them and I had to tell them where he was staying!! Haha. We chilled for a while but around 10, I had to leave. I wanted to spend some time with Aye before she leaves. So I got home pretty early and we just chilled. We planned to stay awake the whole night cuz her plane was at 7am and she needed to leave for the airport around 4. But I just fell asleep at 1 which was totally pathetic!! But I had a pretty interesting dream last night. Our senior class was in a room and someone was giving a speech or something. And I remember thinking that we had 5 more days of school for fun after our graduation. I talked to a few people and it felt sooo real! And then I don't know why but I just kept crying and crying. I wasn't really crying but the tears kept on coming. I had to go to the bathroom-like room to get tissue but the tears kept coming. I wasn't feeling sad or anything. And then my dad said we were going home. We were both walking to the car when I saw a few people with blue gowns going into this cathedral-like building. I told my dad I had to check it out. So I went in and it turned out that they were having this little ceremony for all the graduates and we needed our grad gowns. I told the women I didn't have it with me. And they led me into this room with a waterfall and pond and the trees and everything. Then they said we needed to wear this beautiful draping dress from the old old days. I saw a few distinct classmates too. And these women led me up the stairs to this indoor balcony. To sing maybe?? Anyway, that's when I woke up. It was sooo metaphorical. I can definitely relate to it, most of it anyway. So that was definitely interesting. It would be cool if I dream something like that tonight. :)
Today's Father's Day so Wynn and I cooked a delicious dinner tonight. I made dessert too - awesome flan! I just got the recipe from Julia's mom last night and I decided to try it out. It came out really well so I'm happy. It has cream cheese in it so it's really smooth and creamy. The caramel sauce gave me a little trouble though but it turned out great. I ate about half of it! I wish we had Aye and Lynn though. That would have been awesome. There were all 6 of us last year and it was really nice. Sigh...well, David spent the day with us and he helped out in the kitchen...to entertain us! :P He just got back from China a few days ago and of course, he wants to be with Wynn. They hadn't seen each other for about a month. So he was here the whole day yesterday and today. He's a lot of fun so it's cool. Anyway, I think I've written enough for tonight. I have to get up early for work tomorrow too. It's past midnight so I should head to bed. Goodnight!
