Hi,

It's such a nice morning. It's so cool and calm. The sun is not really out cuz of the rain clouds. But it's still really nice just the same. I got up really early this morning - 9:30. LOL. I know, it's not really early. But it is for me. Not many people are up yet so I figured I'd update this journal.
I did go out with Ali Wednesday night. We chilled at her house for a while before we headed into Vienna. We went to Sunflower Restaurant. It's not technically in Vienna but just right outside. It's a vegetarian restaurant. Even though neither of us are vegetarians, they've got good food! :D And it's quite surprising that the last time we were there was back in September. It just doesn't seem that long. Oh, another thing...On our way there, we stopped by at Ali's family friends' house. They have 4 cats and I was playing with 2 of them. One of them was so proper and quite a handsome cat. He was already an adult. I didn't know it until Ali mentioned that we played with it when it was young. I couldn't believe it. I remember playing with a little kitten, about half the size of my palm, crawling around. We even bottle-fed him. Now he's a big cat. Where did the time go?? It's unbelievable. Anyway...we ate some delicious food there. Afterwards, we went to get some ice cream cones at Neilsen's. And we walked around, enjoying the evening breeze and the delicious ice cream. At one point, we were sitting on a bench and a cicada landed right on my chest. I was freaking out!! And Ali stepped away to a distance. THANKS, Ali!! GRR...! My shrills were in 3 different pitches. It was crazy! I could feel its legs on my skin. I got a napkin and tried to get it off and finally, I succeeded. UGH...*shudder* I hate bugs! After that, whenever a cicada got near us, we would try to walk away or duck - whatever works from avoiding the bugs. So we kept on walking around. No more sitting on a bench under a cicada-infested tree! And this random dude, about 50s or 60s, got his head out the window of his van and yelled, "Lower your cholesterol!" He kept on driving past and I was like what? That was sooo random! Crazy guy...*shaking head* After a little while, we drove back to Ali's house. She cleaned her room a bit while I played with Emma. One time, I was helping Ali pick up this pile of papers and Emma jumped on me. I shrieked! Haha...I thought it was a cicada!!! LOL. Well, maybe I didn't think that. But I felt the same fear as I had on that bench. So now, Emma is Big Cicada. :P
Senior field trips...Arlington Cemetery was not worth it. It was soooo hot that day and all we did was pay respect to George C. Marshall's gravesite. And we walked like 2 miles in the blazing heat. We were dying. But I guess the bus ride was fun since all of us were on the same bus. Oh, it was so cool too. We saw the Guards of the Unknown Soldier live! I saw it on TV a few weeks back for the Memorial Day special. And it was the same guard that was interviewed. I love how they do all these cool things with the guns. So that was awesome. Dave & Buster's was good. The bus ride wasn't much fun cuz our whole group got divided and we had to sit next to other people. We had to sit in any available seats. And then our bus got lost so we were 15 minutes late. But we got there and we had $10 on our cards so we had 90 points to play the games. To those who don't know what it is, it's basically a big arcade with a restaurant and it's in a mall. We stayed and played the games until we ran out of points. Others went to go shopping in the mall. I won 993 tickets! I've never won that many tickets so I was psyched. I got this huge dog with the help of another 7 tickets from Lindsay. Thanks, Lindz! I was quite happy about it. We decided to eat at that restaurant that's in the arcade since we had 45 minutes before we had to leave. We ordered food and it took so long even though there weren't any other customers since it was a weekday morning. We had to ask them for the food to go. It wasn't ready till the last minute and all the administrators and the teachers were asking us to hurry up and go to the buses. So with all those things in our hands, we had to run to the entrance of the mall. When we got there though, the buses were no where in sight and everybody else was waiting there. Urgh! When we got back to school, Lexi was in the main lobby. She was supposed to go to the library since she doesn't need to go to Math anymore now that the rest of the class are seniors and we're done with school. She asked me to send her home so I did. They never check anyway. She was quite happy. Haha...skip skip!
So yesterday was Julia's belated birthday party. People came and went. Ali, Yoo Mi, Lindz, Carolina and I got there around 4. Lindz had to leave at 5. So then, the rest of us ate, talked and played Guesstures! It's an awesome game. Carla and Arash later came but then around 6:30, Izzy had to leave. Ali needed to go somewhere for a while so I accompanied her. Arash went to pick up Jon Jon. Ali and I went to a house where she was cat-sitting. There were 3 cats and I wanted to see them. She gave them medicine and food. One of them was hiding downstairs but 2 of them were so cute!! They played with me and they were purring. One of them even lay on her back and I gave her a belly-rub. She loved it. Aww...I want a cat! But when all the things were taken care of, we came back to Julia's party. Arash and Jon Jon were already there. So we kept on playing Guesstures and it was hilarious. Of course, FOCUS was one of them and both Ali and I knew what that was. But we let the birthday girl's team win. :D A lot of people left and it was only Julia, Ali, Arash, Yoo Mi and I and we talked and chilled for the rest of the night. Yoo Mi left around 10:30ish. And the 4 of us went crazy after that! Pillow fights and all. The pictures are soo funny! It was so much fun and we can't wait to do it again. Maybe Monday afternoon??? Hope so. Us girls are teaming up on Arash! Haha...I think we lost some brain cells last night cuz we kept hitting each other with pillows. Intelligence...none...!! LOL. *wink*
Anyway, so yup, that's about it right now. I'm thinking of going to the Baccalaureate today. I hope it'll be ok. Not many seniors are going or that's what I heard. I know a few of my friends are going and Lexi and Julia are singing. Even though if it turns religious, we'll just have some fun. So that's in a few hours. Maybe I'll see you there. If not, another time perhaps. Right now, I'm just talking to Sky on AIM. He's trying to get back at me for a little prank I pulled on him and Malcolm at my birthday party back in September!! Move on, Schuyler!! Speaking of AIM, I got to talk to Richard the other night. We didn't get to talk for 2 whole months, literally!! He had final exams and I thought he was done with them a while back. But I can't believe it. He's graduating college and here I am, not yet graduating high school. I'm jealous! But I guess it's all good cuz I think the next 4 years will be work and fun. Probably even better than the past 4 years. So I can't wait for that. See, I'm not all pessimistic! :D Anyway, till later!
