Hi,

It's been a while since I last wrote. I have been lazy or I have just been busy. I know, busy at this time of the year? Yup, all the teachers think it'd be funny to give us all the projects and assignments till the last class. Wow, it seems like this week has been forever. I don't even remember much of what I did. Haha...we'll see what I do remember.
Our children's book turned out to be pretty good. It's about 20 pgs long but the kids liked it. Ify and I started to worry that it might be too long and they would get bored. But on Wednesday afternoon, we got to Shrevewood and had to wait for a while for everyone to get there. Afterwards, each pair was assigned 3 or 4 kids. We had 3 boys from 2nd grade - Denzel, Timmy and uhh...oh gosh, I forgot one of the kids' name. Anyway, they were so cute and they actually paid attention to the story. When I asked if it was too long, one of them even said it should be longer. Haha...and they like the pictures too so that felt good. Kids are soooo adorable!! ^_^ And our book club project was good too. Oh my gosh, I LOVE "Ender's Game!" It's sooo good! I couldn't put down the book at all and I just read it for 5 hrs straight. A lot of people liked it and recommended it to me and they are right, it's amazing! And umm...*cough* someone should finish reading it too! :P Haha.
We got our yearbooks too!! They are soo good. I love yearbooks. But of course, with that comes yearbook signing and that's incredibly sad this year. Looking back on memories and saying "I'll miss you" is soo sad. Plus, I won't see anyone from school next year since no one is going to GW except me. Sigh...*sniff sniff* We had to write Valedictorian Speeches in English too for our final. All aspects of it were hard. Writing, giving the speech and listening to others' have made me shed tears. It may seem funny to some but I truly tend to get emotional. We had to give the speeches on Friday. About 4 people went and I was already starting to feel really sad. So I volunteered to go next. I went up to the lecturn and I had to breathe deeply quite a few times while I waited for Ms. Goodwin to be ready. I started talking and looked around the classroom. Everything was building up in me. When I got to the middle of the page, tears were welling up in my eyes and I couldn't even see the paper anymore. I breathed hard and had to rush through the rest of the speech cuz I didn't think I'd be able to finish it without breaking down. I quickly sat down and I didn't dare look at anyone. I had to get Kleenex and everything. Plus, I sit in the front and with the U-shape seating chart, everyone can see me. That was embarrassing! *blush* But I just couldn't get it out of my mind that it's finally over.
Interact was the last time for me on Friday. We had a meeting before we went there to choose officers for next year and all 5 of them are who I recommend so I'm happy. We thought only about 3 or 4 people would show up since it was a Friday and it was on a short-notice but we were all surprised that about 15 to 20 people showed up. I'm excited! New people came too. After the meeting, Catherine, Betty, Tenzin, Sarah, Maya and Devin (both new!) and I went to Shrevewood. All of them are underclassmen so I was the only one who was getting sad at leaving Interact. I've been involved with it since Freshman year. In 9th grade, I went there almost every Friday. 10th grade, my participation declined a little and in 11th grade I only went there a few times and this year, I've been there all the time. I've gotten quite attached to the kids. When we got there, some of them were at the assembly so we took the rest of the kids and went there. It only ended about 15 minutes before school ended so we didn't have that much time to play. But it was soooo cute. When we went into the gym, the first group of kids saw us and started waving and jumping. The teacher had to calm them down and we couldn't all go to them because they were all at the front and we would be disrupting everyone. But when it was over, Katya ran over to me and jump up. She's sooo cute! I'm gonna miss her. Junior came to take my hand as well. I had brought some candy so when we got back to the room, I gave them out and they were excited. And of course, Katya had to get on my shoulders! She was just laughing the entire time. When it was time to go though, she started crying. She didn't wanna go home and that made me more sad. But eventually, all the kids went home and I talked with the teachers for a while before we left. Devin said that he loved it and that he would definitely join it next year so I'm ecstatic! All the seniors this year came at the beginning of the year and when CAS was done, they all stopped coming. I'm so mad about that. People these days only care about themselves. I've been at Shrevewood so many times and not once did I use those hours for CAS. Volunteering is not about getting hours to put on applications and required hours, it's about helping people. Sigh...anyway...I can't force people to love volunteering. I'm gonna miss the kids. And after I dropped the girls home, "These Are the Days" came on the radio and I felt like crying. It's been an emotional day.
Yesterday was better. I picked up Lexi and went to Rank&Festival around 2:30ish. There weren't that many people there. But we got there just in time for Whodi's performance. They sang "Tight Words" and "Big B.T." and of course, I was dancing to the songs. Lexi wouldn't dance though. *pout* Afterwards, One Hero performed. During that time, we sat down and Malcolm came to us and we were just goofing around. He's sooo funny!!! After One Hero, Malcolm performed again. He had to keep the crowd going between sets. He didn't know which song to sing since Eric left. So he did "Unstoppable" and then he wanted Lexi and I to join him for another song. Lexi didn't want to so I joined him. We were just bopping our heads and haha...it was soo much fun! I think VC played the music behind him. VC played right after him and of course, Lexi, I and Malcolm stood in front of the band to support them. It was in the Aux. Gym and they had some bleachers there. So the band and the audience were quite close. We stood there and bopped our heads and I sang along to the chorus. I really like "Alberta Skies." The music is amazing so I sang along a bit to that. Even this morning, I had that song stuck in my head. Haha. I took some pix too and Matt posed with his guitar but I missed it! Darn it! I took the pix a few seconds too late. And then they started to play this salsa-like song and Malcolm took me by my hands and started to dance tango and goof around. I had no idea what he was trying to do so I ended up being dragged around. MALCOLM!! But it was fun nonetheless. Meriem showed up around 3ish but she had lost her voice so she couldn't talk, esp. when we had to yell to be heard at the concert. Tom's band played next and we talked during that whole time. Tom was singing but it couldn't be heard and all we could hear was the music. Sylvie and Adam came, as well as, Mike so we talked for a while and waited for Quogue to go on. They finally started played around 5:30ish. It was a tough crowd. Everybody was sitting down and they didn't even yell or clap hard. I felt bad for the band. I wanted to stand up too but both Lexi and Meriem wanted to sit down and Malcolm had already left. So I ended up sitting down but I sang along to some of the songs. They played "Asphalt," "Frames," "When I See You," "Start A Fire," "Walking Away" and some other new songs. But I knew the words to those 5 so I was just singing along. They are sooo good!! They just have this aura about them. I don't really like the lead singer, Zach, though. He's an awesome singer but he acts like a jerk sometimes. He's mean to people. But the performance was awesome except that 3 people blocked my view. I wanted to take pix and I couldn't do it. So I ended up playing with the digicam with Lexi and looking at all the goofed-off pix! Haha...that was FUN! Afterwards, I sent Lexi back home and since I was already in the neighborhood, I stopped by at Ali's. She told me she'd be out but her car was there so I thought she was back. But she went with her dad so I came back home.
So last night, around 10, Ali called and said she'd come over. We took home each other's yearbooks to sign and of course, both of us took about 2 and a half pages in our small handwriting! She came over and we read each other's and found out we missed a lot more so we wrote some more. So now, each of us have 3 pgs of writing from the other person. We ended up talking till around 1 about all sorts of things. Since she was house-sitting a neigbor's house for the night, she had to leave. But it was sooo nice to talk about all the old memories and new. Sigh... :) Anyway, I've written a lot for today. I should end this and start studying for the Bio final. It's gonna be really hard. I'll talk to y'all later. If you haven't sign my yearbook, tell me quick! I don't wanna leave out anyone but I know I still need like at least 10 people to sign it. Tootles for now! :D

I must be crazy now
Maybe I dream too much
But when I think of you
I long to feel your touch
To whisper in your ears
Words that are old as time
Words only you would hear
If only you were mine
