Have I told you? PROM WAS AMAZING!!!! I loved it! Too bad it had to end so soon. The place was smaller than last year's though so I didn't like it that much. The dance floor was, I thought, too small for all of us but others had said it was really big. So I don't know what was up with me that night then. And no, I wasn't drunk. If I could get drunk on sparkling cider than I guess I was drunk. Haha. But good times...
We all met at Ali's house around 4ish and just chilled and talked. We ordered some Thai food cuz we didn't want to mess with going out and wasting time. We were all tired and lazy. So we ate and talked. Sylvie came for a while and she was already dressed up while we were still in t-shirts and shorts. She looked amazing! Everyone was clamoring on how beautiful she looked. When Adam came, we all had to take pix of the couple. They were so shy too and it was sooo cute! They left and we chilled for a while longer before we started preparing. Aye, Wynn and my mom came to help me. I didn't really need an army but it was all good. I'm glad they were there. We all were running around doing stuff. By around 9 o'clock, we were all ready. And for the next half hour or so, we took pictures. There were so many cameras and so many flashes. I think I was blind for a while. That's probably why I thought the Waterford wasn't that big when it was! We all were like celebrities. It was so funny. We probably took like 100 pix combined.
We got there around 10:15 and there weren't that many people yet. The ride there was absolutely wild. That was FUN! *wink* We were so hyped up. Everybody looked amazing! I wish it could have lasted longer but time went by so quickly. A lot of people left a little after 12 and that was our break time. We were filling up on cakes and drinks! LOL. Yup! I was a bit sad that some people left really early. What's prom if you don't stay for the whole thing? But the dancing was good. My favorite was when I was dancing to "Crazy" by K-Ci & Jo Jo. That's memorable. It's a really great song. The DJs were kinda bad. They kept stopping in the middle of songs and they were playing all these old rock songs or something and you can't really dance to them. And then 10 minutes before it was over, they played all the best dancing hip-hop songs in little bits. That was so bad!!! GRR! But I like the fact that they were taping us and showing it on the screen. For the first hour, they kept taping our group. Wherever we went, the camera was on us. Haha. Oh yeah, and the photographer! When we came in, we were showing our tix and I saw the photographer. I pointed at him and motioned everyone to pose. And then he got a little mad. He said he was trying to get pix for the yearbook and he wanted candid pictures. And he said I was too quick and that he can't fool me. I was like sorry. So after that, I kept seeing him near our group but I pretended like I didn't see him. And he kept coming to take our pix. Sigh...what can I do? I'm quick as a cat! :D I was sad when it ended. We stayed back to take pictures. But I wish that I could have taken more pix because there were a lot of people whom I didn't get a picture of. I only got pix of our group mostly. We got to Ali's dad's house around 2:30ish. We were so tired by then. And about an hour later, we were all down. Haha...some after-prom party, huh? Well, sleeping party is the best!
The next day, everyone else had stuff to do so Meriem, Ali and I went to Reston Town Center and chilled. It was sooo hot and there was a fair going on. It's so funny cuz the last time Ali and I were there, there was a fair going on too. It must be coincidence or just pure luck. We were starving when we got there so we had to get food. I wasn't satisfied so I had a super scooper from Lee's ice cream stall. YUM! What is it with me and food??! I just loooovveee food, don't I? Haha. So yeah, that was definitely fun but we were so tired and so hot. Meriem went home and Ali and I drove around for a while and enjoyed the nice ride back home down Lawyer's Road. Since then, I have been chilling. It's so nice to finally get rid of all the stress. I know we're not really done with school work but what we get now is so little. Anyway, I'm gonna go now. Prom pix should be up soon. I'm too lazy to upload them to imagestation right now. So we'll see how lazy I am. Haha. Bye now!
