Am I good or what? I told you I'm gonna try to update every few days. I'm so proud of myself! Haha...I'm at UVA right now and it's only 10am!!! Yeah, Aye was going to class and we went down to eat breakfast together and she left for class half hour ago. But I had to get up at 9!!! After going to bed at 3 last night! I'm ok right now but I had to drag myself downstairs in my pj. Other people were already coming back from places and some had already finished a class or two! CRAZY!!! I'm definitely sleeping in next year or at least I hope so! :D
I got here yesterday evening. I was gonna come earlier in the afternoon but my dad's car broke down so I had to go pick him up. And then it was traffic hour and there were so many cars. But after a while, the ride was good. The weather was beautiful too just like it is now. I'm loving it! This should be what spring break is all about!! No more cold weather please! As soon as I got here, Aye had to leave to go take her Chemistry exam. It was from 6:30 to 8:30pm! Crazy, huh? So I chilled in Wynn's room. She just finished her website so I was looking through it. It's pretty good but she mainly has pictures and I like to read so I am hoping that she puts more stuff up. Her site started out as a project for a class but she likes doing it so she continued on. BUT she's using composer!!!!! AHHH! She's cheating! *wink* She's not using html codes so I'm a bit disappointed. *shaking head* :> I think I'm jealous! LOL. Maybe I should try to use composer and it'd be a lot easier to do everything. But then again, I won't get to play around with html codes. Hmm...oh well...I'll just keep it the traditional way! *wink* She also showed me this really cute email she got from a friend too. It has all the cute and funny pix of cats and dogs and I was just awwing and laughing. There was this one pic with what looked like 4 cats sitting all in a row. One of the cats looked like the cat from the movie "Cats and Dogs" (looked like a Communist cat - no offense!) and it was thinking, "There's a spy among us..." When you look at the pic carefully, you realize that there are only 3 cats and the other one is a dog!! But they all look pretty similar! LOL. I thought that was the cutest thing! Aww...so cute. Aye came back later and we talked for a while before she started to "study" for her Physics exam for today. I tried to read a book about Castro for history but I couldn't get past the first page! Aye was distracted too. So we were talking most of the time. Hehe!
I gotta tell you a little bit about the other day too. I went to visit GW with my dad on Monday. So we got into DC and I didn't really know where to go cuz all the buildings are dispersed all around the block. It doesn't seem like a campus. We went into some buildings and I looked at some dorm rooms. The rooms were pretty big and in this particular building that I looked at two rooms share a bathroom so 4 people share one bath. But the building was old. :( Some of the dorm rooms that I looked online are a lot better though. They are all apartment style and some have kitchens and living rooms as well. All the rooms seem to be nice but room and board costs $10,000. So I don't know yet. The dining hall was pretty nice too. It wasn't even really a dining hall. It was more like a food court that you might find anywhere else. There were Taco Bell, Burger King, Chick-fil-a, Starbucks, etc. But the whole place was really new and really cheery with a lot of tall windows and it also has 2 big TV screens. My overall impression was that it was a nice school with a lot of good things. But I don't know if I can live in the city, esp. DC. I don't really like the traffic noise and the buildings. When I was comparing it to MW, I like MW better than GW just cuz it's a lot quieter and the scenery was peaceful. I think GW is just too fast-paced and I don't know if I'd like it. Right now, my whole family wants me to attend GW and I'm pretty much torn. I don't really know what to do and I hate making decisions, esp. when I have to decide where I'm gonna be living! Sigh...
Anyway, I got back home around 4 and I was just whining to my dad. He was just laughing at me. HA...HA...so funny...! *pout* The phone rang after a while and it was Meriem. We talked a bit and decided to go see a movie. I went to the cinema and waited. Meriem was delayed cuz she had to go send her brothers somewhere and they didn't tell her that their friends needed to be picked up as well. By the time she got there, it was already around 6 and there weren't any movies that were playing within the hour. So we decided to rent some movies and go back to my house. We rented "Nicholas Nickleby" and "Out of Time" and headed home. We ate so much junk food and watched the first movie. We both thought it was a romance story but turned out that it wasn't. But we both liked it anyway. It was soooo good! I almost cried. If we hadn't been talking, I would have. It's a story by Charles Dickens and it's about this young man, Nicholas, who is only 19. His father died and he had to get a job from his rich uncle who doesn't care about his brother's family. Nicholas became a teacher at this "school" for boys. He sees that they mistreat the children and a crippled boy, Smike, is abused the most. The boy has to work for the family that owns the school because he is an orphan and no one is giving the school any money. Nicholas becomes friends with him and they both cannot stand it anymore and they run away. There's a really good twist at the end and it's such a beautiful story. *sniff sniff* I recommend that you watch it and the Special Features. LOL! Meriem knows what I'm talking about!! *wink* After the movie, we were just watching the Special Features and we did other things so we didn't get to watch the other one. But it was really good though and I'm glad Meriem chose it! Haha...that was funny! But seriously, he really needs to take care of that eyebrow!! LOL. :P
Hmm...I guess that's about it for now. I don't know what I'll be doing today or tomorrow. We'll see what happens. We may get some surprises like this morning. Right, Ma Aye? *wink* Haha. I think I'm gonna go play some games. I really don't want to read Castro right now. I feel so lazy. And plus, it won't be due till Tuesday so I'm all good. Hehe. I don't think we have any French hw, do we? Oh well...she needs to make it more clear if we do. Alright, till later!
