Sorry for the delay. I've been busy lately and the next two weeks are gonna be crazy too. But I have some free time now that SATs and Special Olympics practice have been cancelled due to the snow storm. This gives me a breather! Whew! :D
I'll start off with Thanksgiving break. It was amazing! All my sisters were back along with Lynn's fianc� and his younger sister. There were 8 of us in the house for about 5 days. But it was so cool to be with them and I had a great time. Lynn, KoWai and MaMee got here before I even left for school that Wednesday. They got in around 4:30am. So when I got up, Lynn and MaMee were up talking while KoWai was taking a rest. I talked to them for a while and then left for school. The night before, I was up till 1am waiting for the UVA results and they didn't show them. I got to school and everyone who applied there was nervous. I had checked again that morning before I left home and then another time during break. But they still haven't posted them yet. Someone told me it was gonna be at 5. So I was relieved for a bit and tried to forget about it. The rest of the school day was quite slow. But it was over at 11:40. I decided that we should go have lunch somewhere. After recruiting some people for a while, we had Carolina, Ali, Meriem and I along with Candice and her bf. We went to Panera Bread near Tyson's and then after we parked and met in the parking lot, Ali told us that she saw Candice's car driving the other direction, most likely the Falls Church Panera. So Carolina went to get them. The three of us went around the stores and talked a bit to wait. Then we ordered our food and half-way through, Carolina came in. She couldn't find them so we finished eating. We kept on goofing around when we were done. That was when they came in. So we waited while they ate. The conversation was very funny. I realized that when someone doesn't want to offend another person, they try to use words like special, unique, different and interesting. And it's so true! Now when I hear someone says those words, I just start smiling and crack up. Haha...I'm crazy, aren't I?? LOL. :P
I got home around 3 and found out that my family has been trying to reach me. I left my cell at home that day so I didn't get their calls. They wanted to invite me for lunch at the Myanmar restaurant and I missed it! :( But it was great to see all of them. Usually, it's just me and my parents so it can get pretty quiet sometimes. And now the whole house was noisy and crowded. There was everybody along with David. I couldn't stop hugging people. I loved it! It was funny though. All of us were crammed in the little corridor! I guess they couldn't be away from me, huh? *wink* Haha. Aye left to see some friends. And Lynn wanted to do some grocery shopping and to show MaMee around. So I went with them to Seven Corners. We got some Starbucks and I don't know why but I was so excited. I don't know if it was the caffeine or the happiness to see all of them. But it was great! When I got home, it was almost 5. So I checked the UVA site and I was disappointed to see that I was deferred till Spring. I was so sure I was gonna get in but...:( I got too emotional and I was glad that all my sisters were there to comfort me. Where would I be without them? I love them! I tried to forget the situation and enjoy the evening but it ruined my happy mood for the night. We had Thanksgiving dinner cuz both my parents were working the next day. Usually we would just have a nice dinner but this year Lynn wanted a real Thanksgiving dinner so we had a traditional one. After dinner, we watched "Bruce Almighty" and Jim Carey is just hilarious! "I've got the power...*dun dun dun*" LOL.
The next day, Lynn wanted to go to Great Falls. But Wynn, Aye and I were being lazy and didn't want to go. It was cold and gloomy and we were hesitating. KoWai persuaded us though. When we got there, it wasn't bad at all. It was pretty nice and we took lots of pix. When do we ever not take pictures? Crazy Burmese girls!! *wink* Haha...Aye and I were just goofing around the whole time. Afterwards, we HAD to go to McDonalds for our traditional sister talk. KoWai and MaMee couldn't understand and we had to explain to them. We were trying to show them a little bit of our tradition and trying to set them in. WOW, with KoWai the conversation was even more INTERESTING! Lol. We were just CRAZY! We couldn't stop laughing the entire time!!! He's hilarious. He's one of us now! Hehe...:D When we got home, we played UNO and of course, Wynn had to win. Seriously, when does she ever not win? She is so lucky! *shaking head* KoWai came in last. Haha...and he REALLY wanted to win! I was third so it wasn't too bad. It was just a fun game. Friday was a lazy rainy day. Lynn, KoWai and MaMee went into DC. Wynn went back to UVA with David. :( They both had tons of work to do. So it was just my mom, Aye and I at home. I baked some Triple Chocolate cookies and they were yummy! We watched Moulin Rouge later and I really love the singing. The actor has a great voice! And for the rest of the evening, Aye and I were singing the songs. It was funny. Saturday was shopping day. MaMee wanted to go to Tyson's so we went shopping there. We got up at 8am!! *GASP* Haha...cuz Lynn and KoWai were meeting a friend couple for lunch. While Aye was Christmas shopping, I was getting "For Myself" shopping!! HAHA. Well, I haven't gone shopping for myself in a while! Afterwards, we went to Myanmar restaurant and had lunch. We were starving from walking so much! But it was a nice lunch. We got back home and Lynn wanted to go to Potomac Mills and the great KoWai sent us there without any complaints. Isn't he sweet? So we shopped there and only got back home around 9pm. One thing that was really funny was that both Aye and I were really really sleepy for some reason. When we got there, we had to find a coffee shop. And I followed my nose! Hehe...we got Mocha Ice Storm even though it was freezing outside!! We were a little bit better afterwards but that was so funny. Kinda reminded us of the San Francisco shopping! That was the very first day we were in US. We stayed with a friend family for 2 days and they wanted to show us around. So they took us to a shopping mall and because of the jet-lag, Aye and I were sleeping while walking!!!! LOL. That was so embarrasing! We did everything with our eyes closed. We had some ice-cream and then we would go back to sleep. Haha! Embarrassing, really. :P Anyway, Lynn, Aye and I stayed up till 4am talking. They left the next morning. I was glad that Aye was still there with me. She only left on Monday morning so we were up till 2am talking Sunday night. So the whole week, I was sleepy and tired.
This week was pretty crazy. I had to find some more colleges that I want to apply to and I had to turn in everything to teachers and my counselor. But I'm glad that part is done. Now all I have to do is write the essays and turn the applications in. I gotta talk about yesterday now. So I was up till 1am working on college apps. on Thursday night. I didn't want a school closing cuz of the snow. All I wanted was a 2-hr. delay and my wish came true! So school only started at 9:20 and I got to turn in all my forms. And for some reason, I was pretty refreshed and hyper. I actually listened to Mr. Brannan in history for the whole time! A funny thing happened too. Almost to the end of the class, I saw Emily looking at me and moving her lips. She sits across the room from me. And there is always a thing with me and that half of the room. Cuz there are Mike G., Meriem, Mai and Emily on that side directly across from me. So we always talk across the room mouthing words. But anyway...I had to do a little explanation. So I saw Emily and I thought she was talking to me so I started mouthing words to her. And then she was confused. She mouthed some words and then Jon Jon and Amanda who sits near me thought she was talking to them. So they talked back. And then Meriem and Mike thought I was talking to them so they were mouthing words back. Mark B. was in the middle and he was confused. He faces the front of the room so he kept on turning left and right trying to figure out what's going on. It was just a misunderstanding! After class, I found out that Emily was talking to Mark and she just happened to be looking at me when I saw her. Haha...and then we had a party in Math class. There were pizza, apple pie, brownies, cookies, chips, salsa and sodas. It was awesome! We had won a pizza party from the school at a contest. And we all decided to bring some food in as well so we had tons to eat. And then for the rest of the day, I was sooo hyper! Some people know! *wink* Hehe. :D That hyper mood didn't die down till around 1am! Haha. I think it's one of those times when you get really tired for a long time and then you have a crazy hyper mood before you crash. I think that was yesterday. LOL. Sorry if I was totally crazy!! *wink*
Wow, I've blabbled on way too much. I gotta stop here now. Well, that's some stuff that I've been doing. I hope you had fun reading this as much as I did in writing. I'll talk to you later! Bye!
