How's everyone doing? As for me, I'm tired and sleepy. Haha...and it's only WEDNESDAY! Argh! The teachers seem to give way too much homework. They think we only have their class and the workload piles up by the end of the day. English alone takes about 4 hrs each night. How cruel is that? It's cruel and unusual punishment! HAHA. Sigh...hopefully, it would ease off. That is what we keep hoping and hoping, isn't it? And I really do hope that wish would come true.
Today has been pretty ok, I guess. English was a bit fun, then French - we just watched a movie so that was nice. And then no 5th or 7th periods cuz of Group 4. My group is pretty smart. We've got Mai Hassan, Mark Bulmer, Billy Herbert, Arash, Marian Marx, Lauren Liu and Yesica Nunez. Haha...and then coming up with a group name was fun! Marx(k)'s Group! Hehe! And our topic is Over-the-Counter Prescription Drugs. Haha...we were like, "YES!" LOL. Not because we wanted to do drugs. You know me, I'd never do that sort of thing. But the groups in front of us had crappy topics - toilets, over the counter, food in the pantry, the lawn, etc...??? Haha...so when we got ours, we were really glad cuz it has a huge deal of Biology aspects to it. But the thing is, since I'm a "doubler" I have to do Bio and Physics parts of it. But my main thing is in Bio. So since Arash is in the same boat as I am, we're gonna be helping each other. His main thing is Physics. So it's kinda cool but a lot of work ahead! Haha...but poor Meriem...she's got to research and experiment with prokaryotes and you-know-what with her topic, which is toilets! And their title is "Low Altitude Bombing"!!! OMG!!! So sorry, Meriem! But funny funny!
Yesterday was pretty funny. We had a quiz in History. And Mr. Brannan asked me to collect the answer sheets when we were done. So I was going around collecting them. Then, I came to the last row. And I tried to take the papers. Mark Gentry had the paper in his hand but the paper was bending down so I tried to take it and then didn't get it. So I did that for 3 times and I kept missing the paper. I was soooo embarrassed. I was just laughing at myself. Finally, I got the paper and Meriem's and then I joked with Mike Gully and got his paper. But then...I turned around to give Mr. Brannan the papers and I tripped on a backpack!!! Ahhh!!! Talk about being tired! I didn't really trip. I caught myself in time but still...it was embarrassing! I hope nobody saw that! AHH!! Haha...this week has been crazy! Everyone's mixing up names and doing crazy things. I hope I can survive the next 2 days! LOL! :P We had senior pictures yesterday too. And we were all wearing our senior shirts. And when I went into the gym, all I could see was black shirts and everyone looked alike. It was SCARY! But it was great as well that everyone had so much class spirit. :D
I gotta talk a little bit about the past weekend as well. Friday was great. I came back from Shrevewood and after a while I went to the Marshall/Madison Game. Of course, we lost but it was our last football game and I had fun with the band. I got to stay with Ali most of the time cuz they weren't marching this time. So that was nice. The Great 8 was a little heated when this lady and a kid came to sell Madison's band raffle tickets on our side. We were a bit mad but the Great 8 was crazy!! We were a bit scared that they would get escorted out cuz we were on Madison's school grounds and we were making a racket. The rivalry is always there. Haha...so anyway, I came home and Aye was back home!! YAY! She was back in town for the weekend cuz she had a conference in D.C. about Asian medical students. So we talked till 2:30am and that was bad cuz she had to get up an hour later to go to work with my dad. Cuz she needed to be at the conference by 7am and we didn't think the metro would be open early on a Saturday. So for the whole day, she was really tired, walking around and carrying bags. Poor Aye! As for me, I slept in. And pretty much for the rest of the day, I chilled. Ali came in the afternoon and she said we should do something for the lunar eclipse that night. So we decided to go to her dad's house and "camp out" in the backyard. Carolina came too but it was FREEZING that night. And we were crazy to be outside for 2 hrs!! I couldn't feel my legs and my hands! Haha! How crazy were we?? But the eclipse was beautiful. Ali's brother, Ben, tried to scare us with a Halloween mask. But we could hear him and so he didn't scare us. Afterwards, I saw the mask and it truly was scary and I was just glad that we knew he was there before he could scare us. Otherwise, I would have jumped up really high! LOL. We were trying to scare each other too by talking about "The Ring" and other scary movies. And of course, I was trying to scare Carolina and I got scared! Haha!
When I came home, Aye wasn't even home yet. Poor Aye! And then she had to get up early the next morning as well. I slept in again. But she came back around 2pm and by that time, she was really tired. So I did my hw for a bit. I was so happy that I didn't have much to do. I was done after 2 hrs! So we both just chilled and watched TV. But it was nice to have her company. And that night, I couldn't sleep. I had a lot of rest during the weekend and I had started to think about college. It wasn't that I was worried about not getting into UVA. I do have that worry but this time it wasn't that. I was thinking about how my friends and I would be separated next year. All of us would be far from each other and we'd all have to start a new without knowing anyone. It would be like 7th grade all over again for me. I didn't know anyone and it was lonely and scary. All I had was this one girl and now that I think about it, I don't even know how we became friends. She and I were almost opposites! What she wanted to do, I didn't want to do them and reverse. She moved away in 8th grade and that was when I started making friends. And now, it's so hard for me to imagine myself without all my awesome friends!! *sniff sniff* It's gonna be so hard! I'm gonna miss everyone. I really will. Sigh...
Well, ok, I'll end it here. I need to do a lot of hw. If I don't start now, I'm gonna die later. So as Richard would say, "Pip pip cheerio!" *wink*
