Happy Halloween!!! Wow, quarter ended today. Yay, 4-day weekend!! That's super awesome! I've been waiting for this forever. Total relaxation time ahead. Today was super cool too. But first, let me recap a little on what I've been up to. I get so busy now that I don't even have time to do this journal every 2, 3 days. Last year, I could write everyday but now I'm always so busy with everything. *sigh...* Anyway, let's get going.
Last week seemed really long even though we only had classes for 3 days. It was crazy but the whole Senior Ethics Day was fun. I thought it was gonna be boring but it wasn't. I actually had fun and I was in a group with some of my friends so that wasn't so bad. And then on Friday, the 24th, we had a little French field trip for the French Honor Society. We went to La Madel�ine restaurant after school to go have a snack. It was kinda fun. Meriem and I were late getting there a bit and we were trying to decide what to eat. When we got to the table, the only place that was left was at the end. So we were kinda away from Mdm. Rudney. Haha...we didn't plan it, I swear! But afterwards, we decided to go watch a movie. We finally decided on Scary Movie 3 cuz there weren't any other shows that we wanted to watch at the time we got there. The movie was, I guess, okay. I didn't really like it but it was funny. There was a group of kids at the front and they were screaming! So that was pretty funny.
This week was pretty busy. All the teachers assigned tests, projects and everything they could think of. But one thing that I enjoyed this week was our Hamlet skit for English. It was Ify as the King, Beth as Osric, Ali as the Queen, Emmy as Hamlet and I as Laertes and we played the fight scene at the end of the play. We rehearsed the whole week during lunch and we met up during the weekend and last night to go over all the details and the lines. We had a dress rehearsal last night at Ali's and everything was great. We were messing up on some lines but we were so excited about it. We chose to put the scene in a private school detention class. Ify and I were football players and she is the captain, the "king." HAHA. And we were trying to be punk. It was so great! Emmy and I were being so tough and punk. We had a blast doing the lines and acting out. And this morning, all the other groups went up first and did their scenes. Some couldn't remember the lines so there were pauses and some had to read it off the text. We were last and we did the whole scene perfectly. Haha..not that I'm gloating here. But we were the best! Sorry guys! I had on black pants, white shirt with a red tie and a jersey on top. I put up my hair and wore a cap and I had my man-walk. LOL! :P I had a football in my hand and I was just trying to be punk. And when things heated up between Emmy and I, I threw the ball down hard and everyone gasped. Haha...they didn't think I could be so tough. Oh man, it was awesome! I loved it. I loved acting out the scene. I hope we get to do those things more often.
So after school, we went to Shrevewood E.S. The kids had an assembly so we went to watch it. Oh my gosh, they were so cute. The 6th grade class had prepared a play. There were about 12 of us standing on the sides and all the little kids were looking at us. And we were just smiling and aww-ing at the performance. We all felt so young. When they were singing, Paul, Dylan and Johnathan were dancing to the music and we all were laughing. It was so funny. But I felt so nostalgic. Sigh...the old days...Haha...*wink* Afterwards, I went to Safeway to go get some candy for tonight and Loren's party. But I also shopped a little for home and for my sisters.
Tonight was our last football homegame and our senior class's last game. *sniff sniff* Oh man, the seniors in the marching band were crying after 2nd quarter. Ali was crying and I felt like crying too. She's been in marching band for 4 years and have been to all the homegames since freshman year. For me, it was just a foreshadowing of what our Grad Night is gonna be like. Carolina wanted to cry too. Sylvie tried to make me laugh and she was trying to make me feel better. I tried to regain my composture and tried to get rid of the feeling. By the end of 3rd quarter, we all had to calm ourselves down cuz we still had to make it fun. We danced the whole of 4th quarter with the band and of course, we had to do the boogleloo. It was the first time for Meriem and Carolina but they loved it! Haha...it was fun! Of course, we ended with 14-28. Our football team is SOOO bad! Gosh! *shaking head* Well, that's why we weren't expecting anything. But it was so much fun and the weather was really nice as well. So that was perfect. Oh, I forgot to mention a funny thing. :) When I got to the game at first, I parked in the upper lot so that I won't get stuck in traffic afterwards. As I got out of the car and headed to the stairs, the football players came out of the locker room. They were right behind me and the sound that their cleats were making against the concrete floor reminded me of The Faculty when the alien-football-players were chasing Elijah Wood. So I quickly went down the stairs and tried to give them space by going down into the parking lot so that they could walk on the sidewalk. They followed behind me. So I went back onto the sidwalk and walked to the entrance. And as I got near to the field, I had to cut across to buy my ticket. I looked and the players were standing there, waiting. So I cut across from in front of them, about 10 feet ahead. But right there and then, the captain yelled, "Ready? Let's go!" And they charged at me. I had to quickly get away. But I probably looked really funny cuz I was thinking about The Faculty the whole time and I was getting antsy. Haha!
After the game, Carolina and I went to Loren's for her halloween party. Both Sylvie and Meriem wanted to go home so they left. We stayed at Loren's for a while and then came back home. Sigh...today has been great! And an awesome long weekend lies ahead. I'm going down to C-ville to visit my sisters and stay with them. It's going to be great. I can't wait! Well, till later! Night!
