Greetings!

So, wow, I'm updating my journal in just 3 days. That's new in the past 4 months, isn't it? Haha...yup...sorry that I've been slacking out on this. But I definitely don't have a lot of free time now. Last night, I had 6 hours of hw and that was just for English!!! Can you believe that? Ugh! That was horrible and I hope I never have to do that again. But luckily, I had an hour to sleep in this morning cuz it's FRIDAY! Ya know, I'm loving Fridays. School starts at 8 so that means an hour of sleeping in, shorter boring classes, getting out 3 minutes early in the afternoon cuz of senior privilege, driving home without worrying about the next day and you can fall onto the couch and be a couch-potato for a few hours without worrying about falling behind with your hectic schedule. Isn't that great? Yup, that's what I realized today. Haha.
So anyway, Carolina's birthday was great on Wednesday. I got to school 5 to 7 and put my little flyer on her locker. I actually like it a lot! After I wrote so much in my last entry the night before, I made up a flyer and it's so pretty. *gleam* Hehe. I got my color pencils out, my glossy pens out and I was having a blast! But yeah, getting off topic. Me and my crazy stuff, huh? :P So I was there waiting for Ali to come and contemplating on whether to put the streamers up or not. She still didn't show up. So I started to decorate it a little and then Lindsay said Carolina was coming. I quickly put them up while Annabel, Lindsay and a few others tried to distract her farther down the hallway. Haha. But she knew. We talked a bit and that was when Ali arrived. She totally forgot about our little meeting. But that's ok. Everything worked out fine. Sylvie had baked apple strudel and Ali had baked muffins. Lizzy brought in a chocolate cake. Our mouths were already watering! Mmm...yum! But we had to go to class. But during lunch, we were outside sitting in the senior courtyard. It was REALLY windy and cold too. But we didn't want a lot of people crowding around just to get some free food. So we were sitting there with our coats on. It was funny! *shaking head* Things we do for food! Haha...so it was kind of intimate. There were only 7 of us and we had delicious food. It was overall a good day.
Yesterday was pretty ok. Nothing exciting really happened. Oh, but I didn't even feel sleepy yesterday in history!!! Isn't that amazing? For the first time since school started, I wasn't dozing off. It was because of the fact that Mr. Kane was being funny. Why couldn't I have been in his class instead of Mr. Brannan's?? But it's good that they share the classroom and Mr. Kane make some jokes every class. Otherwise, it would have been a lot worse! But Emily was also sitting across the room directly in front of me. And she was trying to put up her hair with a pen. She couldn't do it. She would put it up and then it would fall down after 2 seconds. She kept on trying. Keith and Meriem who were sitting behind her were chuckling and she was laughing as well. I couldn't help but laugh. For about 30 minutes, that was going on and I guess that woke me up.
And a lot of people came to the Y-Not meeting too! I was so happy! We had a meeting to talk about the ALS (aka Lou Gehrig's Disease) Walkathon. It's this Sunday and anyone interested in it were asked to come. I'm leading the group so I was in charge. Last year, only one person showed up and it was David Winkler. It was pretty unorganized last year cuz the president didn't put me in charge until a few days before when she found out she wasn't free on the walk day and people who had signed up for it about a month earlier didn't remember. So that morning, I was at the metro station at 7:30. I waited in the cold for an hour and finally, I called a number of people and they told me they weren't coming. Only David was there and since we didn't know each other, it was definitely awkward. You would think he would be outgoing and very talkative since he was the famous lead in the theatre production. But he wasn't. I would start up a conversation and it would die down after a minute. And we spent the whole time together until 12:30. It was just horrible. But it will be different this year!! I've got at least 10 people going apart from me and Ali. So that's so comforting and I know half of them so it'll be great. I'm so excited about it too. If you're interested, let me know. It's a 3-mile walk around Lincoln Memorial on Sunday. And we'll be at the Dunn Loring Station at 8:15.
This weekend is gonna be busy. Both the fun and the work. But no school for the seniors on Tuesday and Wednesday is Senior Ethics Day. So I only have 3 days of school and then a French field trip on Friday night. But Friday is gonna be CRAZY! I have 3 big tests lined up one after another. Bio Test, French Oral and Math Test and since the quarter is ending in two weeks, the teachers are giving us as many assignments and tests as possible. But I'll try to update often. So yeah, I'll "talk" to you guys soon. Till later, peace!
