Hello,
Wow, I think this has been the longest time that I haven't written in here. Umm...I mean "type." Haha. I haven't been that that busy either. I've just been having fun! Yup! That's why I haven't had a chance to write/type in here. :P So I think I've got a lot of stuff to tell you guys. Hold on tight and get some refreshments. Haha...:D
Last week was pretty crazy. So much work to do and so many activities going on. But I survived! And on Friday morning, my parents left for Florida. They'll be back tomorrrow night so if you were thinking of having a party, don't even do that, k? *wink* But it's been a pretty quiet week around the house. I miss my mom and dad, for real! I just talked to them on the phone just now and they sounded really happy and enjoying themselves. They love it! And I'm so glad. Of course, my sisters and I are all jealous of them. We wish we were in Florida enjoying the warm weather and the beach and the beauty and away from all this school stress...but no. Instead we're stuck here. But anyway...a little off track...haha...the suppressed feelings are coming out! :P But yeah, I enjoyed it though. Of course, I have to thank Ali for making this week painless and filled with fun!
So that Friday afternoon, I went to Shrevewood Elementary School for Interact. A few people showed up and that was pretty good cuz we haven't even had our first meeting then. And we have guys now!! WOOHOO! Haha...those of you who don't know about it, you are probably clueless right now. So let me explain. Interact is a community service club and we go to Shrevewood every Friday after school and play with the head-start kids. They are about 4 or 5 yr olds who are not in kindergarden yet. So it's sorta like preschool. But yeah, we play with them and they're so adorable! And our club has been pretty female oriented. I don't know why but guys haven't been really interested in playing with little kids. Hmm...But that's about to change! We now have 5 guys!!! Yay! And that's the highest number of guys we've ever had in our club. So come join if you're interested in it. Talk to me or the rest of the officers.
Wow...going on and on with Interact. Haha...I think this is just another side effect of sleep-deprivation and being lonely for too long (and to think I just talked to Lynn, Aye and my parents for 2 hrs just now!). Anyway, I came back home and after a while, Ali came by and she gave me my birthday present. I asked her to surprise me between my actual b-day and my b-day party and of course, she actually got me off-guard! So we went out to dinner at Sunflower Vegeterian Restaurant in Vienna - the food was really good! And we talked and talked and talked, sorta planning my party as well. Afterwards, we tried to look for a party store but the one we know of was closed for renovations. So we just decided to go to Neilsen's Frozen Custard for some dessert. We went in and we met Dylan, Emily, Kira, Johnathan G., Suejin, Sharon and some other Marshall people. Haha...a popular Marshall hangout in the Madison district. How ironic! But I gotta tell you, the ice-cream was great! It was DElicious. We sat at a table talking and enjoying the food and I don't know why but I was just crazy that night. I couldn't stop laughing for about 5 minutes. Ali was trying to tell me something and I was just laughing and laughing at nothing!! I don't know what got into me but wow, that was the longest laugh I've had in a while. We picked up some streamers and stuff at CVS on the way home and we decorated my basement. It looks pretty good. All I have to do now is clean up the mess! And we played Guesstures and that was totally hilarious. And by 12:30, we were really tired. Talk about party-animals!! :P Haha. So she slept over and that was nice cuz we haven't done that in a long time. The whole night was just overall really good.
So the next day, I did nothing but watch TV the whole day after Ali left. By 9pm, I had to get up from the couch. I don't know how many brain cells I lost but it was just a lazy day and of course, Mocha-Fudge-Almond was involved!! *wink* (it's an ice-cream) But if I wasn't lazy that day, I wouldn't have had to work the whole day on Sunday. I seriously started doing hw at 12pm and finished at 11pm and I totaled up the amount of time I took as breaks and that was 3 hrs. That means, I did hw for 8 hrs! Unbelievable! But that was also because I did some of the hw for Tuesday as well. I wanted to go to the football game. It was supposed to be last Thursday but cuz of the storm, they moved it to a Monday night. But that was so much fun!! There were only a few Marshall students there aside from the football team, the cheerleaders, the marching band and the Great 8. So I was mixing in with the band. I stood next to Ali and we danced and sang together. She taught me a few cheers as well. It was the most fun game I've ever been to. I helped the band members out as well with their outfits and instruments so I wasn't just there for the fun, I was helping out! Haha...:P I also went down onto the tracks to do the Boogaloo with them and the cheerleaders - of course, it was a senior thing! Sky was trying to block me by standing right in front of me with his drums. Grr!! And after trying to move him aside for a while, struggling to get my space, he finally moved. But not too far. He had to stand beside me and play the drums so I had to cover my ears a bit. But it was still so much fun!!! I'm glad I went there that night. Hmm...can't wait for the next home game. But that'd be Homecoming and there'd be a lot of people then. Well, we'll see. It was FREEZING though! I had 3 layers on and I was still shaking. And I felt so selfish cuz I had all these layers on and the guys from Great 8 stood there half-naked for about 3 hrs without any complaints and the cheerleaders with their short skirts. But that was only while the band was marching on the field. When they came back and I danced and cheered with them, I wasn't cold anymore. So yeah...that's my little story about being cold. Haha...man, what do we do with me? I'm just babbling on and on and on...:P *wink*
Ali came by yesterday as well and we went to her neighbor's house to go see a kitten. They had just found 2 orphaned kittens a few days ago and one of the kittens was staying with them for a while. And oh my god, he is the cutest thing ever!! He's only about 3 wks old and he has a black coat with faded yellow/orange stripes on his head. He has bluish-grey eyes and he's smaller than my palm. He is just so cute!! He couldn't walk properly yet either so his hind legs were kinda going this way and that way. I even thought Rex would be a good name for him cuz he walks like the T-Rex. We played with him for a while. We even bottle-fed him and it just brought all these memories. I really miss our cats. I lived with Aye's cat for 7 yrs, her (the cat!) son for about 2 yrs and another kitty that was born 3 or 4 months before we left Burma. We had to leave them with our aunts when we went to Singapore. Aww...*sniff sniff* :( And our mom doesn't like cats either so we can't really do anything about it.
Well, anyway, I'm not gonna leave on a sad note. I gotta tell you one more major thing before I go. I can't believe what I'm doing but I'm actually in the Dance Team now. Last week, I just thought it'd be fun to join it but now Tanya, our leader/choreographer, has chosen me to perform at the pep rally next Friday. That's one more week left! *shriek* And the dance steps are pretty fast and it's a mix of 3 songs - Thong Song, AM to PM, and Crazy in Love. But the whole thing is tight! We've learned 2/3 of the dance steps in less than a week and we'll finish learning the rest tomorrow. But...I dunno...am I crazy? I mean, I love to dance and the music just calls to me but I don't know...I really don't know what I'm getting myself into. I'm just afraid that I won't be able to commit to it fully. I already have way too much on my plate. Like today, I missed Y-Not and Earth Force meetings cuz I was at practice. And it's not like I'm just a member of those clubs. As an officer, I have to be there and I just feel guilty that I can't fulfill all my duties. Especially next week with Homecoming, which is always the busiest week of the year. I have to practice everyday during lunch and after school and plus I've got SATs on Saturday. Ugh...I really gotta choose, don't I? I'm just torn right now. I've been in the clubs for the past 3 yrs and I just can't quit now and as an officer, I have responsibilities. But dance is so much fun. I wish I could share how much fun dancing really is. Haha...talk about not leaving on a sad note. Well, this isn't exactly sad. It's just an issue! (we'll just call it that!) But yeah...Pep Rally will be fun and hopefully the sound system will be a lot better than before! Well, I gotta get some sleep. Till later!
