YAY!!! NO SCHOOL!!! Whoopee!!! Haha...wow, this is great! Well, not exactly. I don't wanna sound too happy when others are in trouble. But I sure am glad that we don't have school today. It took my stress away. And now I'm just chilling at home watching tv and surfing the net and listening to music...sigh...relaxation...!
So what have I been up to this week? Hmm...boring stuff, probably. HW and other school stuff. I didn't get to audition for the talent show though. :( Ify wasn't ready with her piano part. And that put a lot of stress for my part cuz I was chasing people down the halls asking if they have the sheet music (cuz Mrs. East, the sponsor, said she could play it for me if I didn't have anyone) and running to Mrs. East and asking her questions. And along with other officers' meetings this week, it's been pretty hectic. And yesterday, I finally decided that I'm not gonna participate anymore. I've done my best in trying to get the whole performance together and it's just been not good. And plus, singing is for my own enjoyment, ya know? Learning that song for a performance put too much pressure on me and I'm even starting to dislike the song. SO...yeah, I'm just gonna go and enjoy the show without worrying. Sorry, guyz! I tried, didn't I? I'll sing for you if anyone wants to hear me sing. Haha...:P
And oh yeah...this past Tuesday, the 16th, was my parents' wedding anniversary. :D They've been together for 29 years now. Isn't that amazing? And they were all lovey-dovey. It was so cute! My sisters and I are sending them to Florida for 6 days/7 nights trip next week. Hopefully, there won't be any storms. But it's gonna be 2 nights in Miami, 2 nights near Hollywood Beach and 2 nights in Ft. Lauderdale. They're gonna have SOO much fun! My eldest sis, Lynn, planned so much and we took so much time discussing about it. They're gonna have a great time on the beach! Ooh...I can't wait! That and also cuz I'm gonna have the whole house to myself!! Haha...nah, you know me. I'm not that way! I'm innocent!! ():) Haha. But they're gonna love it! I'm so excited.
Yesterday afternoon was senior parking lot painting and wow, it was so much fun! I wish more people could have shown up though. It was supposed to take place last Friday but cuz of the weather, they postponed it. And at first, I wasn't gonna be able to go cuz of Earth Force meeting. But luckily, it ended an hour early. So Mai El-Gasim and I went and painted our parking spots. When we got there, Sky has already painted his star and had 2 hand-prints done. He wanted to have people print their hands around his star. He asked for mine but I didn't want to dirty my hand. I wasn't sure I was gonna do it yet. I told him I'd think about it. So then Mai and I went and painted our spots. Everyone has the red stars but we could create our own design. She bordered the star with blue paint. I didn't want to do that. So I just wrote my name in the middle going southeast. You know what I'm talking about? Well, come check it out if you want to see it. It's 133. I also wrote '04 on the sides of my name and then put 2004 underneath the star and put my hand-prints above the star on the sides. But crazy me! I put 2 right prints! HAHA. Cuz at first, I put the paint on my right hand and printed it on the left side of the star. And since it looked pretty good, I thought I'd put another print on the right side. And then I didn't realize that I had 2 right-hand-prints until I was done. Gosh! *shaking head* Haha...it didn't look too good but I like it anyway. It's my own creation and I was proud of it. But when I was done, my whole right hand was covered in blue paint and it was getting dry already. So Mai and I went inside to wash our hands. It took a while to get the paint off. We came back outside to clean up and we went over to Sky's. He now has 4 hand-prints and still needed one more. I asked him why he hasn't put his hand-print. He told me he was gonna put it in the middle. He asked me to put mine and that is AFTER I washed my hands! Grr..! But I was like what the heck so Lexi put paint on my hands and I printed it. So afterwards, I had to wash my hands again. But it was fun! I just wish there were more people. It would have been great!
So I got home around 4:30 and my mom told me we needed to go to a family friend's house for their 4-yr-old's birthday party. I wasn't sure if that was a good idea cuz I still had a lot of hw but I figured it was more important to go. I could always stay up late, right? So we were there and it was already 8:30 and we had just started eating. I was already stressing about the workload ahead. But when their son came home from tae-kwan-do practice, he told me schools were closed. I was like, "No way!" I went to FCPS channel and sure enough, schools were closed. I started jumping up and down. It was a huge joy! Haha! Afterwards, I couldn't help but smile while I was eating. They were all joking about how happy I was. So I was a lot more relaxed than I was before. I talked with their son, Nay, for a while talking about senior year. He used to go to Kilmer in 7th grade and then they moved so they were in a differnt area. He's a senior at Madison now. Haha...there wasn't any rivalry. He was even complimenting on how our school is pretty big. Hmm...I never think of that. I don't think anyone thinks our school is big. Haha...so much school pride, huh? :P He said our school has huge parking lots. Madison, apparently, doesn't have any assigned parking spaces. It's a first-come first-serve basis even for seniors! I was like oh yeah...GCM senior privilege! Haha. No underclassmen in the senior lot. I'm beginning to like Marshall. Nah, I like my school. It's da best! Everyone is SOOOO cool! :) So yeah, we ended up staying there till a little after 10. And when I got home, I HAD to tell Aye about school closing! HEHE! So we talked until around 12:30 and by that time, I was beat. I just went straight to bed. And now, I'm just chilling and relaxing at home.
Oh yeah, before I forget, Happy Birthday to Meriem and Schuyler. I didn't write about it in my last entry. Meriem turned 17 on the 9th. Aww...so young...! And Sky turned 18 on the 11th. I'm catching up to you, Sky. Just 3 more days and I'll be 18!! Woohoo! Can't wait! I was gonna have my birthday party this Saturday but cuz of the band competition that won't end till 10pm, I couldn't do it. Grrr...band!! That's why I didn't think I'd be free this weekend. Cuz I'm visiting UVA on Sunday as well. The UVA trip is still gonna happen but not the party. Darn it! Now I'm gonna have to wait 2 more weeks for my party. :/ Oh well, I guess it's better this way anyway. I don't want to have my party in the middle of a hurricane. Wow...I got to stop typing now. This entry is getting REALLY long. Haha. I think I'm getting more and more talkative as time goes on. Well, anyway, buh bye!
