I hope everyone's enjoying the last few weeks of summer. I know! Summer is almost over! Argh! BUT...it's still not over yet so do something fun while the sun is still out! :D Yup, no talk about school what-so-ever. Deal? Cool. So now let me tell you what I've been up to in the last few days. Well, I can sum it all up in one word: FUN! Yup, it's been fun this past week. I enjoyed it. Well, I can't say the whole week but this past weekend sure was fun. Alright, I won't keep you waiting. Let's get this party started! :P
Let's start with Friday. Well, I had a very busy day at work that day. My boss has gone to Hawaii for 2 weeks and left me some work to do. And when I'm done with all that work, then I can go work for the editorial. And since I'm such a hardworking person (Hehe. I'm gloating here!) But yeah...no one really knows what I do for my boss so no one is there to supervise me. Yet, I worked so hard and did a 2-days worth of work in one single day. So I was so stiff when I came home. My neck was hurting and my shoulders were as well. And to top it off, my parents invited some people over. So I came home and I had to prepare dinner a bit. But when Aye got back home, she wanted to take a walk since the air was cool. So we did. We walked around the neighborhood and went to this little playground. We went on the swings and just talked. So that was nice. :)
So on Saturday, I read Portrait a bit and watched some TV. It's been a while since I watched TV. Later that day, Aye and I headed out to Daniel's house. We hung out for a while. He cooked dinner and it was delicious. He had a guitar so I wanted to play it a bit even though I have no idea how to play. For me, I just strum a few strings and make sound. And that already is enough for me. Hehe...I just love it.
So that night, Aye and I stayed up till 4 am to watch this mythical movie called, "Helen of Troy." It wasn't that interesting but we wanted to see what the ending would be. So we watched it for 4 hrs! :O Haha...crazy, I know! I don't know what we were thinking. I guess we weren't! :P But it was fun though. Staying up and eating chocolate and just goofing off. And we kept on talking for a while after the movie ended. Well, that was bad because Aye has to work the next day. She gets off days on Saturdays and Tuesdays. So she had to get up at 10 the next morning. I slept on till around 11:30.
So I read a little bit more of Portrait which is totally boring. It went on to talk about hell and what eternity is. It just went on and on. But things did get better! :D So the whole of last week, I wanted to have a pool party this weekend. I haven't seen a lot of my friends the whole summer and I wanted to do something together. So I talked to Ali if we could use her house since her pool is just about a 2-minute walk from her house. She said yes so I called Meriem, Sylvie, Carolina and Lindsay and they all said they would come. So it was all set for yesterday. We were just hoping there wouldn't be a thunderstorm and the weather was clear yesterday and I was really excited about it. We all met at Ali's house but unfortunately, Lindz couldn't come. Her grandma was visiting her from Egypt and she was arriving yesterday. But we still had the 5 of us. Ali baked a cinnamon-swirl cake. YUM! And I brought some cookies. We just talked for a while, waiting for everyone to arrive and I played with Emma for a while. She loves the attention and chasing toys. She's just so cute!! (Oh, if you don't know already, I'm talking about Ali's dog. Haha...it's not a baby or anything! LOL.) Then, we headed out to the pool. There were a lot of people before but since it was late afternoon, there weren't many people left. Just perfect. We goofed around for about an hour or so in the pool. Sylvie couldn't swim though. She had hives from an apple tart a few days ago. Poor Sylve! :( So she was sitting on the side. We ordered pizza and for the next 2 hrs, we were just talking and eating pizza at a table, which was a lot more fun than just swim around. We got to catch up on things and had some philosophical discussions. Haha...we will never be far from school! Like Carolina says, "Nerd!" Haha. *wink* Hey, ya know Izzy and Ali, I have that song stuck in my head. "Born in East L.A..." With the accent too!! LOL. So afterwards, we headed back to Ali's house. We changed and had some cake. It was so good! Haha...I just love food! *drool* But anyway, we went to the video store and rented "White Orleanders." It was a pretty good movie. It's a drama but I kinda like it.
So that was my weekend. I had no rest but fun, fun, fun. So today, I had to pay the price for that. My neck was stiff and I had huge headaches. And I was working hard the whole day again. By the time I got back home, I was totally beat. So I just took a long warm bath and relaxed. It was very effective. I was refreshed and now, I'm just being a goof here! Hehe.
