Wazzup!
Wow, didn't realize that half of our summer is gone already. Yeah, Ali reminded me of that last night. I can't believe it! *sniff sniff* And I still haven't done much. I have so much to do and so much more fun to have. 10 weeks is not enough!!! Wahh!!! Ok...ok...enough of the whining! Hehe..:D
So yeah, it's only been a few days since the last time I wrote. Wednesday was fun. Wynn & I went shopping and bought some clothes. And food as well!! Haha. :D It was nice to hang with her. And we got back the photos from the Great Falls trip and from the Ohio trip. There were 3 packs of pix and I was happy to see that most of them were good. :) And on Thursday night, we cooked dinner and watched Friends and afterwards we talked and had a dance party. That was so much fun. We talked to Lynn too and finalized on our plans for a surprise trip that the 4 of us are planning for our parents' anniversary in September. It'll be a 7 days/6 nights trip just for the two of them. So I can't wait for them to enjoy it! :) They're gonna have so much fun!!!
Grrr...a bad thing happened to me at work yesterday though. I was working on this project, which is to gather address and phone and fax numbers on a list of all these hotels and resorts across the country. I was doing that since 10 am and I had to use WordPad since I don't have MicrosoftWord on my extremely old computer. So I was copying and pasting stuff in and saving the file from time to time. And then around 5, the computer started to act a bit weird. So I saved the file one more time and then WordPad completely hanged. So I closed it and went into "Documents" and opened the file. To my surprise, the file was empty. There was nothing in it. So I went into "My Computer" and went to my folder and got the details for that file. It showed that the file has 0kb and it was last saved at 5:02pm. I was shocked!!! Just because I pressed the save button just before it hanged, I completely deleted what I had been working on for 6 and a half hours! I tried to see if I could get the file back and couldn't find a way. Finally I gave up after half an hour of pursuit. I was so upset. :( Grr...now I'll have to do the same thing again on Monday and I'm not too happy about that.
BUT things did get better last night. There was this Rank & Festival at school and 4 bands were playing, including Quogue and Matt's band which I can't remember the name now. I decided that it would be fun to go and see some people from school and listen to Matt's band cuz they've got new members and he told me that their band is getting good. So I said, "Why not?" And Quogue will be playing for the last time at Marshall. *sniff sniff* They've all grown up and leaving for college...:( Haha...well, if they make it big, we can always see them on TRL, right? :P So anyway, I called up Ali from work but she wasn't sure if she would be free and told me to call her back when I got home. I got home at 6:40 and called her immediately cuz the show was starting at 7. And we talked about it a bit and decided we would go. She came to pick me up and we got there. Matt told me it was supposed to end around 8 so we thought we would go grab a bite to eat afterwards.
We got there around 7:15 and Matt's band was the first to play so we missed some of their songs. They were pretty good. I got to admit that the songs are getting better and the singing is definitely getting better as well. The music was good as always. Oh..and we also met Loren and Jessica and two of Loren's Japanese guests. They were just stopping in for a moment. They were going dancing in DC afterwards and asked us to join. We had other plans so we said we couldn't. But anyway, after Matt's band was done, 2 more bands played before Quogue took the stage. We were waiting to listen to Quogue so we sat there, trying to surpress the pain...LOL. But seriously, they weren't good. They had good music and talented guys but they were just shouting incoherent words. The 2nd band has this tiny guy, really really thin guy for their lead singer. He had a good voice but he was just shouting and mumbling and screeching most of the time. It was, I guess, hard metal/rock. It was unbearable. I had to put my fingers to my ears cuz it was so loud!! And Ali and I were making fun of the fact the singer was mumbling. We could have our own band. Writing the lyrics would be easy! Just blah blah blah...HAHA! But seriously, it was not good. The 3rd band was Shermer. They were just ehh...same like before. Shouting. They were also hard-core metal. And the clock kept on ticking away. It was already 9:15 before Quogue came on the stage. They started playing and they made it worth it for us to sit there and listen to the other 2 bands. Wow, they always blow me away with thier overall-talented music and songs. I just love them! My favorite is "When I See You." I just love that song. I'm sure they'll make it big. They are so talented and the sound is just smooth and pure. It was great!
The concert didn't end until around 10:15 and we forgot how hungry we were when we were in there but when we came out, our stomachs were growling! We went to the car and saw Mark so we talked a bit and Matt came by too. They were putting their instruments in the car. He asked me what I thought of them. I told the truth. They were pretty good. I liked it. They weren't screeching like the other 2 bands. OMG, those bands were horrible! And Matt asked me when I got there. I said around 7:15 and he wasn't too happy that we didn't get to hear their imitation of "Lose Yourself" and another song. Well, there's always NHStival and the Senior Picnic. So I can listen to them then. I'm sure it's good. So we said bye and we left.
We drove back to my house and weren't too satisfied that we haven't had a chance to talk that much. Of course, there were intermissions between each set but that was just about 5 or 10 minutes each time. And as we turned into my neighborhood and saw the Mini-golf park, Ali had the idea of playing a game. Haha...that was so funny. So we parked the car and got out to ask if we could still play a game but unfortunately, the last ticket is sold at 10. But it was ok. We were starving! So we went to my house and made some noodles and ate. And I taught her how to eat with chopsticks! Well, ok...fine...it was my mom who actually taught her. I don't know how to teach! I somewhat told her how to do it. But now, she's an expert!!! Hehe...:D So we talked until around 12 and she had to go home and so she left. But as for me, I went to see what Aye was up to. She was watching "G. I. Jane" so I plopped down on the couch and watched it with her. It was pretty good but of course, I missed more than half of it so I didn't really know what was going on. *shaking head* Haha...but that was still fun!
So I got up late this morning, 11:30! Yup! Ate some cereal and cooked a chicken curry. Yum! It's good! *gloating* Hehe..;D But guess what? I got back my senior pictures!!! YAY!!! All 14 poses. And I look...b..e..a..u..t..i..f..u..l...LOL!!!! Totally self-centered, huh?? Nah...it wasn't THAT great! Haha...but I like the pix. The ones with the blue graduating gown are not that good. The gown is obviously too big for me. Aye said it looks like I am in the church choir or something! Haha...I don't like those 4 poses with that gown. But I like the other ones in my black yearbook-gown and in my own outfit. I look like a celebrity!! Hehe...nah! But I'm just excited to get these pix so quickly. I thought it was supposed to be 10 business days and it's only been a week. It's ok though. I love them. :P Well, now I have to decide which ones I want and in which form I want. So that's gonna be a challenge. It's like creating my own magazine, huh? Haha...yeah, right! But anyway...that's all about what I've been up to lately. See ya later and enjoy the sun!
~ Ei Ei :*
P.S. Haha...I just remember Matt's band's name. :P It's Vicious Cycle. Nice name! *wink*
'Cuz when I see you,
You knocked me off my feet.
'Cuz I forgot just how I feel,
When you look at me.
And to tell the truth, it must also be
That I forgot how beautiful you always look to me...
You always look to me. ~ Quogue "When I See You" |
