previous day's entry July 7th, 2003 next entry
Hi!!!

Hope everyone's having a great time. Wow, this is the longest time i wasn't online. A week of no internet! :O Haha...but yeah...I haven't been online since the last entry and that was last Sunday and today is Monday. Anyway, so I guess I have a lot to inform you about. Well, I'm just gonna skip the first 3 days of last week which only involves work. Oh..but one thing though...I got my first official paycheck last Monday and I was so excited and so happy! :D Feels so grown-up. Haha. But yeah, that sure was nice. I was definitely beaming with pride. Hehe. But yeah, I'll start with Thursday. Well, here we go! *wink*
Well, Thursday was when I didn't go to work and followed Ali to her workplace. We were gonna spend the whole day together that day so we were both extremely psyched. I had to get up at 7am though to get ready and she came and picked me up at 8. We drove down to Potomac School in McLean. Got there about more than half an hour earlier than we were supposed to so we just chilled in her classroom and waited for the students. But then Ali's supervisor came in and told her that she would be teaching music instead of art for the day cuz the music counselor was out sick. So, sadly we moved to the music room and luckily Ali had brought her flute. So she taught 5 classes in total and I helped a bit here and there. She was sooo good with the kids. They were from 8 to 12 years old. And I suggested to her that she should become a teacher. She seems to like that idea. But when school was over, we went back to her place. We were gonna go swimming but then there was gonna be a thunderstorm that evening and it was cloudy and a bit cold so we decided to do something instead. We decided to go and see "The Italian Job" and since it was still 3 hrs away, we just chilled and talked and played with her dog, Emma. Mike Davis stopped by for a bit and then Ali and I headed out to McDonalds for dinner. We both didn't want to go to other places cuz that would take more time and we only had about 50 minutes. So we ate and talked some more. And then the movie was so good! I think it is the best movie in a really long time!!!! I'm so serious! It was realistic, thrilling and has such a great plot. And of course, Mark Wahlberg and Charlize Theron were both fantastic. Mark is hot and Charlize is so pretty!! Haha...*drool* :P I love the movie! So afterwards, Ali came back to my house and we talked some more and goofed around. We even looked up words as to what "IB" could probably mean! It's not "International Baccalaureate," it's actually "Incredibly Bogus." LOL. But yeah, we had such a great time together and got to catch up a lot. She went home around 11pm cuz I was supposed to get up early the next morning.
I didn't sleep that much that night though. Got up around 4am cuz we were going to Ohio to visit some of our parents' cousins. We left around 5:30. We drove there cuz we were gonna visit them from city to city and we LOVE roadtrips! *wink* So yeah, we got to Ohio around 1:30 and we went to Massillon first. There was a Burmese gathering at a friend of my dad's house. We were outside in his big backyard, about 3 or 4 acres, I think. It was a nice day and we were all enjoying the beautiful weather and then around 4 o'clock, it started to rain. We all ran under the big tent and huddled close. It stopped after about 10 minutes and the sun came back out so we breathed a sigh of relief and continued on with our party. And then suddenly, half an hour later, the wind blew stronger and the flower pots inside the house started to fall and break and the branches on the tree snapped and it was a scary feeling. Everything was blowing left and right. But all of us got into the house safely and the rain started to pour. We left that house and drove over an hour to my dad's cousin, Nyan Win, over in Mansfield. His family was also there at the party. We had dinner together and talked. Aye and I watched "Patriot" for the 5th or 6th time and watched the fireworks in New York on TV. I got to say that the fireworks this year are weak. It was nothing special but just ordinary fireworks and that was boring.
Saturday morning, we got up and ate breakfast together. And then we went on separate ways. We were going to Cedarville to go see my mom's cousin while they go to another city. We were gonna meet back for dinner and stay for another night with them. Their kids don't live there anymore so the house is pretty empty. So we parted and drove about 2 hours into Cedarville. We took a small road there so the surrounding was just pure nature. There were only farms or woods. We were supposed to meet at Cedarville University cuz my mom's cousin's son was there for some kind of gathering for his Ph.D. or something for a few days. I'm not too sure. His parents were visting him from Austratlia. So we had lunch together and my mom and her cousin were talking away for hours. From 12:30 to 5pm, they were talking non-stop! It was amazing but my "aunt" was so nice and she was so funny too. We were just laughing so much, our cheeks hurt! LOL. But yeah, we had to leave for Columbus to meet Uncle Nyan Win and his wife for dinner.
So after dinner, we drove back to Mansfield and talked some more. We all were laughing and eating ice-cream and that wasn't too pretty! Haha. We played some pool as well and talked. It was my dad and I the first round and I won. And then it was Aye and I while the others went to bed cuz it was already 1am. But Aye won and I think that was because I was too tired and sleepy. ;P Haha...but seriously, I was!!! By the time we were done, it was almost 2. And as soon as my head hit the pillow, I was out.
Sunday was such a lazy day. Got up only around 9 and had a lazy breakfast and talked some more. We only left Mansfield aroun 12, hoping that we would be able to stop in Pittsburgh. The drive was fun and relaxing. We chose another small road so that we could pass by the farms. We did stop by Pittsburg. It is such a beautiful city. Actually, we stopped at the Mount Washington Viewpoint. The view was breathtaking. Two rivers and the whole city of Pittsburg right in front of you. And of course, we took pictures...hehe...:D We stayed there for a long time and stopped in other cities as well. Coming through West Virginia was so nice. It's so pretty. We didn't get home till around 12am last night cuz we were just taking our time and having fun. I had a great time this weekend. Well, I'm gonna go now. This entry has been long. Talk to u later!
Oh, I forgot to mention that I went to London, Liverpool and Dublin as well. They were such fine places to visit. I love them. Haha...alright, alright. They were little towns in Ohio. I think you knew that. But it was funny to be in all those little towns named after places in Europe. But anyway, see ya!
