Hey,
Happy Fathers' Day!!! :) YAY! How's everyone? Hopefully everyone's well and happy. I am! :D Hehe...I need to update you guys on some stuff that has happened in the past couple of days. And both have been quite eventful, I guess. This is gonna be a long entry just to warn you. But I had a blast and now let me tell you what I've been doing lately...*wink*
School was pretty ok on Friday. Pretty relaxing day. But Bio was boring. We had to go watch a presentation by a guest speaker. The topic was...well, it's Biology. It was Pre-IB Bio stuff. About proteins and how there are many different kinds of it. Eh...*groan* And also the speaker was about 70- year-old man who spoke softly and very slowly. It was around 9:30am and we were all falling asleep. And I had to pry my eyes open cuz I didn't want to be rude to the speaker. But it was hard! The chair was uncomfortable cuz it's a wooden seat and we were there for an hour and a half. Ugh. But I didn't fall asleep so that was good. But it was extremely boring and uncomfortable. 5th period was fun. Well, not really the class but the free time that we had instead of that class. Mrs. Johnson had told us she doesn't want to see us come to class cuz there are only 4 juniors in that class and there's no point we should have a class with only 4 people. She said she would make us all excused. So I had an hour and a half long lunch and that was good! And then we watched "Who Am I?" in Chinese class. I've seen it at least 3 times but it was still good.
After school, we had Interact. It was our last meeting before school's over. We headed over to Shrevewood Elementary School. We play with the Head Start kids if you don't know. We got there and they were watching Cinderella and eating ice-cream. I had brought some candy to give to them and Laurie got some stickers. So we passed those around and then we went outside to play. Of course, the kids were sugar-high so they were full of energy. We were tired, being a Friday afternoon. And it was 90 degrees outside and very humid. The kids wanted us to chase them around. I was helping some kids do the monkey bars. And it was one after another going back and forth, back and forth. Whew! It was tiring! Finally, it was time for them to go home. So we said our goodbye's and put them on the buses. Afterwards, we headed to Lydia's house for a end-of-the-year party. We had pizzas and pink lemonade. AHHH...LIMES!! Haha...you know what I mean, Ali. But yeah...and then we watched a little bit of MTV Movie Awards before heading home. I'm gonna miss Christy but hopefully, I'll see her at UVA when I visit Aye and Wynn. *wink*
So I came home and watched the rest of the Awards before Aye told me that Daniel was sick. We were supposed to do something but he wasn't feeling well. We decided to go over and cheer him up. His parents were out of town and he was home alone. We rented "The Road to Perdition" and bought some soup and sandwiches at Panera before we headed to his house. Being a guy that he is, he probably doesn't have any food. Haha. And sure enough, he doesn't. :P We ate and watched the movie. He didn't look too good. He was really tired and coughing and couldn't really breathe. Aye and I were both concerned. We were worried that he got what Aye had last month (some type of virus similar to mono). He was helping her out while she was sick and we were worried that he got it from her. And he was having the same symptoms. But he assured us that it was probably food poisoning of some sort from the day before. When we finished watching the movie, which was VERY GOOD :P, we decided to go home and give him some rest. We told him to call us if he needed anything and he promised he would and so we left. The air was really cool and it was refreshing after a hot day and it was nice coming back home.
And when we got back, we were preparing to go to bed when our dad said that we were going to the Natural Bridge the next day. Yeah, talk about a last-minute thing. It was already around 12. *shakes head* Sigh...but our family is just like that. So you'd never know what we might be up to! *wink* Haha...:P
Ok, enough for this entry. It's already getting long. If you wanna read about our trip to the Natural Bridge on Saturday, then go on and read the 2nd part of the entry. But now, I'll end this up.
