Wow, I've been really lazy. Hehe! I didn't even have much school work but just have been having fun these past few days and haven't been around the computer. I'm not gonna tell you what I did the last few days. That'll take forever and I'm sure nobody would want to read that! :P Hehe. So, I'll just tell you some of the stories. :)
This past week was SOL week so therefore, all the days were shortened by 2 hours. We got out of school at 12:10pm and we only had 2 classes each day. So that was just great. Teachers were giving us some slack too so basically, we watched movies and chilled. We watched Jurassic Park yesterday in Chinese class. It was in English, just to let you know. It would have been funny if it was in Chinese though. But no matter how many times I watch that movie, it still gives me chills and my heart beats faster. I think I've seen it at least 9 times and I'm still scared when the dinos are chasing them. *scream* Haha. Yeah, after the movie, I was walking down the hallway to my locker and my heart was still beating pretty fast and my breaths were still pretty irregular. People might have been looking at me, wondering what was going on. Haha.
So I came home yesterday and had lunch and then the whole family went to US National Arboretum. The weather was nice, around 80s. So we got into summer mood. The flowers were pretty and the trees were so nice to look at. It was just nice being with the nature. We took lots of photos and hopefully, they'll come out great! There was a little hill with a big field at at the top there were some monumental columns. So we ran through the field, racing who will get there first. Me, yelling "banzai" of course!! Haha. Aye was yelling "bonsai" cuz we had just looked thru the bonsai trees. HAHA. That was pretty funny. There was also a Heart Pond. It's called that cuz its shape is like a heart. We wanted to go there and see for ourselves. We got there and it was covered up by trees and bushes. So we were disappointed. *pout* But it was still fun. We drove by there and we were giving tourist guide speeches. Haha. "On your right is the Heart Pond, which you can't really see because of the overgrown trees and bushes..." Haha. The park had to close at 5 pm though so we had to leave. But it was really nice to just be with the family and goof around. Plus, we had a chance to further bond with Ko Wei. He's family now. So that was really great. He spent a week with us here. And he just left for Cambridge just now. *sniff sniff*
We also played poker last night. It's Burmese poker which is similar to British, I think. But it's different from American poker. It's much more fun and we played with money. Not a lot but u can still win some amount of money from 4 other players if you win (cuz there were 5 of us). I won about $6 so that was fun. Even thought it's not for a lot of money, we are very petty even with 10 cents! And it's so much fun arguing and laughing. It's just great!! But then we had to end around 11pm cuz I was so sleepy and tired. I didn't get much sleep during the week cuz of some people who keeps wanting to talk even at 2 am in the morning!!! *hint hint* Haha.
The awards ceremony on Thursday night was boring. It was a 2-hr event and it seemed forever. But Mrs. Johnson got two awards. Best Teacher award from the faculty and the students! So that was so cool! And she really deserves it too. I think she won one last year as well. :) I got 2 awards but they were both in the end. So I sat through 2 hours before they reached my awards. I already knew what I was gonna get so I wasn't really surprised. It was Chinese and Perfect Attendence. Mr. Mitchell wasn't there so Mrs. Jensen tried to pronounce my name and the first name was correct but the last name was still ehh...But Mr. Mitchell had sent her something to say about me and that was quite embarrassing being up on stage and someone saying nice things about you. So many lights were on my face and I think I was blushing. Ahhh! But it didn't last that long so that was a relief. Whew! Haha.
We watched some movies as well. I didn't get to see Bruce Almighty so I'm not too happy about that. But we watched "Analyze That" and "Antwone Fisher" and both of them were good. The former is a comedy and the latter is a drama. Watching Robert De Niro singing, "I'm so pretty, oh, so pretty," really cracked me up!! You should definitely watch them. I love movies! :D Haha.
Well, that's about it. I don't know when I'll update next time. I'm in summer mood and I'm being really really lazy now. It's all my sisters' fault! They are back from college so early!!! It's not fair! WAHH!! Well, just 3 more weeks of school to go. Then...beautiful summer! Hopefully, the weather will be a lot nicer than it is now. It's wet and windy and cold and it's already the end of May!! Grrr...Haha. But anyway, I'll talk to u soon. Later!
