Hey,

I hope everyone's well and in class!! Haha...I had too much fun yesterday teasing people and rubbing it in people's faces. We had a holiday for Labor Day so no classes! That was definitely awesome. But more on that later. I know Marshall started classes today and so did Loyola! So we'll be hearing about their crazy classes from our dear friends soon. :D Hehe...that should be fun! The little juniors are becoming seniors this year. How exciting! I will always address them as juniors though! I can't see them growing up. LOL.
Anyway, these few days have been pretty eventful. Definitely fun stuff too! I did go clubbing Friday night. We went to see this Mo Rocca comedy show. Afterwards, we went to LuLu's on 22nd and M St. Haha...we got there pretty early and there wasn't anybody there yet. It was around 10:30 and the club starts around 11. The dj was playing some music though. More people came later. But I didn't really like it there. It was $10 so it wasn't that expensive but the place was kinda dingy inside. There was water leaking from the ceiling in the middle of the dance floor and they put a big trash bin there to collect the water. Everyone was smoking and I hated that! The music was ok though. The dj made all the original songs kinda techno. There weren't any GW guys to dance with either or guys our age. Angela invited these guys from Georgetown but apparently they were wearing flip-flops and they weren't allowed in the club. The guys from our halls were supposed to come a little later but they got side-tracked by something else and they couldn't get back out. Yup, that! All the guys were over 21 and most of them were in their 30s and some were even in their 40s!! Around 12, all those guys were drunk and staring at us. Really creepy! This dude even spilled beer on my leg. He had a cup in his hand and was dancing. This other 22 year old was stalking Anna too. So finally around 12:30, we left the place. Got back after 1 and the guys were watching TV. We joined them with some food.
Woke up early the next morning and couldn't go back to sleep. I was too excited about Ali's visit and going home. I had been talking about it all week! People here probably were annoyed with me! Hehe. But she finally got here after 2pm and I picked her up at the metro station. We came back here and I had to show my campus. She was sooo jealous! She said I have everything right here and that what was I complaining about. And then she got to see my room and meet my hallmates and she fell in love! She didn't want to leave. She was having so much fun here. We ate some food at the Pub & Grill and went to visit Georgetown University with Anna, John, Andrew and Endrit. I thought we were taking a shuttle or something but turned out that we were walking the whole way. It was a 30-minute walk up and down the hills to get there in the heat. And some more walking when we got there cuz John knows a few people there and they showed us around. The campus was beautiful but there were big trash cans all over the place and it was stinky. Flies were all around too so it was definitely not sanitary. And then us girls were gonna go to Foggy Bottom on shuttle and get a smoothie or something. We didn't want to walk back. But turns out they don't have shuttles on weekends. So we had to walk back. We were dead tired when we got back but we did stop for ice-cream and shakes along the way. We ordered some Chinese food and watched "Love Actually" again!! Haha. Our door was open so everybody came in and chilled with us. Ali thought that was amazing! She had also made a connection here. One of the guys from down the hall, Nick, knows someone from Mary Washington. Turns out that Ali was hanging out with her. So they called her and all of them were in disbelief. We didn't head back to Vienna until 11pm and only got back home after midnight. I was kinda scared when I got home though. My whole family is far away and I had to call Aye and asked her to stay on the line while I checked out the house. My mom and Lynn left for CA last Wednesday and won't get back till this Thursday. So I went home to check up on things. It was weird sleeping in my own bed and in my own room. I got a chance to catch up on some TV and some alone time and did a little shopping. I drove my car around too and that was definitely nice. I met up with Arash, Julia and Ali for some coffee and we got to talk a bit. It didn't take me that long to get back either. Took me a little over half hour from Vienna to my dorm. But I don't know what it was though. I was sleepy and lazy that night. Most of my hallmates went to LuLu's again cuz it was only $1 that night. They asked me to go but I didn't feel like going and I didn't like it the other night either. So I stayed back and looked thru magazines and decorated my walls. It's all pretty now! :D But I'm not really done yet. But it seems like I have a lot of time on my hands now. Maybe I can do it later tonight. We'll see. Ok, I gotta go to class now. I'll finish this up later. I've been talking to people the whole time I'm writing this and it takes so long now. :P Well, see ya laterz!
Ok, I'm back. Man, books are annoying! I had to go buy a book or more like a booklet for Sociology (outside readings). But I had to walk all the way into DC to get it. I went there this morning and didn't realize that we'll have to pay $15 for it. Professor Debbas didn't say anything about prices. And I only had $9 in my backpack and no credit cards. So I had to go there again after my class just now. The place is a little further down L Street on 20th. Our school is 21st and G St. So it was kinda a hike there. I'm so tired and I wanted to get a refreshing drink. The smoothie place took FOREVER!! The line was so long and they were taking their time and yet they still get the drinks wrong! I don't wanna go there again. And the stupid bookstore!!! You have to leave your bags before u go in so you have to line up and get your number and all that. I need my Psych book. They were out last week so I told them on Wednesday and they said they reordered them. They said check back, check back. So I've done that. Today was the 4th time! And they asked me to check back again Thurs or Fri!! GAHHHHHHHHHHH!! It's really getting on my nerves! Sigh...sorry. I just had to vent that! So frustrating.
Anyway...where were we? Oh yes. I stayed up late Sunday night. My hallmates and Anna were back before I was done with my wall decorations. We talked a bit too. I only went to bed after 3am so I slept in till around 12:30pm yesterday! So nice. I was bragging to all those who had to go to class. I'm really really mean, huh? I was just rubbing it in. So yup, I felt really sleepy though. I could have slept some more if the guys hadn't woken us up by throwing darts or dodgeball in the hallway and making noise. I felt like I was having a hangover without actually drinking anything. That was bad! I was chilling and talking with people for a while. And then Andrew came to ask if anyone wants to go to the zoo. I said yes since I didn't want to stay tired and sleepy with this gloomy weather. So around 3, Andrew, Nick, Colin, Grant and I headed for the metro station. I thought the girls were going too. At first, Laura was but at the last minute, she changed her mind. She wasn't feeling too well. So we rode to Metro Center where we had to meet John and Endrit. They were supposed to bring other people too. But it was a guy named Rob. So there I was with 8 guys and me! Not doing that again!! It was fun but they were goofing off. Well, some of the guys were a little more chilled so I could talk to them. But the trip was really fun. We got to see a cheetah, giraffes, zebras, kermit crabs, a really funny looking camel, pandas up close. They weren't far away. They came up pretty close to us so that was definitely cool. I got some pix! Oh, and we definitely saw squirrels!! We were so excited. LOL. Well, we did see a black squirrel. We didn't stay very long. We went back to the metro station around 5:30. When we got back here, a few of us had dinner together but everyone had things to do and places to go to. Anna joined us so a few of us got to hang out. Last night wasn't that fun though. Everybody was doing something. I had to read Sociology for Wednesday but I kept daydreaming. I had to read the same passage over and over again. That was really bad. But I got to talk to Lynn, my mom and Aye for a long time last night. I just called one after another. And this morning, my dad called me from Thailand. So good to hear his voice! He's having fun going around places. He thought I was already up. But I had my alarm for 8:30 and jumping out of bed to get to my cell phone's "funk" music at 8am wasn't pleasant. I got to talk to my Daddy though so it's all good. And I don't know why but recently, all I want to do is EAT! I'm not even hungry. I just feel like eating and I've been eating lots too. So maybe the freshman 15 will come to me! AHH! Ehh...who cares! As long as I'm happy, right? Haha...anyway...that concludes my little journal entry. I'll update you later. Oh, by the way, I got a job as a Community Host which pretty much means checking IDs in the lobby and doing little things to bring the residents closer together. The hours are at night and sometimes it could go up till 3am on weekends. BUT the pay is good. It's $10/hour and $11 something if it's really late. And the place where I'll be working is on my campus and it's 2 buildings away from mine. I'm even allowed to do hw on the job. It's an awesome awesome job. I'm really happy. ^_^ This was the job I really wanted too. YAY! Haha. So yup, training starts this week. I don't know when yet. They'll contact me about that later. But yeah, that's it for now. I'll write again when some more interesting things happen in my VERY exciting life! *wink* Don't be jealous! :P
