Well, havent posted for a while and now we are 60% through the trip with only 50 days left! So we've got just over 4 weeks left in Yantai, 3 teaching and next week we've got a holiday. Its the May Week holiday which is the biggest holiday in the world with (according to Jack Liu) 20 million people on the move. So it may be a little busy in Yantai (a tourist hotspot for its beaches (although the beach doesnt quite beat the West Sands)) and we dont know if we will be going anywhere particularly excting due to busy-ness!may visit a city called Dalian which is a ferry trip away, and also maybe the Great Buddha, which is, well, a very big Buddha! A couple of weekends back we visited Qingdao, a city bigger than Yantai about 3 hours away. We had a good weekend even if the weather dramatically changed to wonderful sunshine to a downpour!
Sadly one volunteer has just left - our fellow fifer Danny. He managed to badly sprain his ankle the day before he was supposed to be going to Beijing, but instead had to stay longer! We all felt a bit sorry for him hobbling around, especially when we went and did kareoke and he had to make it up 3 flights of stairs hopping! Plagued the kareoke with my awful singing...!
