Devils on Horseback

8 large juicy cooked prunes
4 long rashers of bacon
8 toast fingers
butter
paprika

Stone the prunes, cut each rasher of bacon into halves and wrap around the prunes securing with cocktail sticks. Cook under the grill until the bacon is crisp and brown. Serve on buttered toast dusted with paprika.

You can also make a related dish called "Angels on Horseback" by replacing the prunes with oysters, and the paprika with lemon.
