Bean Loaf
Cooking time: 1 hour
Oven temperature: 350° Farenheit, Gas Mark 3-4
Approximately 16 ounce can baked beans
3 ounces soft breadcrumbs
2 ounces chopped walnuts
1 medium onion
seasoning
1 egg
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
2 tablespoons milk
2 ounces butter or margarine
To garnish: tomatoes
Blend the beans with the breadcrumbs, nuts, the very finely chopped onion and other ingredients, blending with only 1 ounce butter or margarine.
Grease a loaf tin with the second ounce of butter or margarine, and put the mixture in. Cover with greased foil and bake for 1 hour in a very moderate oven. Turn out and garnish with baked tomatoes.
