THIS IS MY BASEBALL CARD SITE

I started collecting when the 1990 season began and ended when $8.00/pack started creeping into the baseball card world. I haven't really checked up on any of my cards until now (Jun 2001). What I found was shameful. Most of my prized collection seemed to decrease in value and from the looks of it, they will not increase in value for some time. It seems that the cards that were around from 1987-1994 were over produced or were in under demand. Even my prized possessions, Alex Rodriguez 1994 Upper Deck SP Rookie card, Wayne Gretzky 1994 Donruss Elite card, and the 1991 Baseball Fleer Ultra Update sets are not as worth as I thought they would be. I also found out that it is necessary to "authenticate" the cards by companies that supposedly hand out grades on the baseball card's condition and authenticity. The process itself is quite suspicious. You must pay at least $8.00/card (not including shipping and handling) and have the processing information written as clear as possible; then you must slip the cards in a certain way into specific sleeves, and you must send it off to a company where strangers will examine your cards. I am quite suspicious of this system. If you have a MINT condition card, it could be damaged either in the delivery phase or while the authenticator is grading the card. Even then, how do you know that the authenticator doesn't switch your card with a lower graded card? Thus, I am still a little skeptic about this whole process. But unless you do this, no one will buy the card at its face value. Well, that's my 2 cents on that. I've started collecting again but I am only acquiring cards of Japanese players in the majors. I do buy packs and boxes but I usually only do that so I can get my hands on those Ichiro Cards. Those cards are sooooo expensive.
Here is a list of cards I have, divided into four
sections:
Baseball
Basketball
Football
Hockey
If you find any misplaced cards or spelling mistakes, they will eventually be fixed. I am placing these cards on my site from memory so such things will naturally occur.
Oh yeah, the site is still under construction so most of my cards aren't even up yet. Thanks.
