Undesirable To Your Eyes
If I said that I loved you,
would you sit and wonder why?
Would you completely understand my feelings for you
with three simple words?
I don't know how you could.

You can't see it in my eyes
You can't taste it in my kiss
You can't feel it in my touch
You can never know...
you'd never give me the chance,
t he chance to whisper my feelings into your ear.
I'll never tell you why you make me smile.
You'll never know how I call out your name...
I've practiced it over and over again
just for you...
I want it all to be perfect.

I watch you from a distance and fantasize.
I want to be the one you laugh with
I want to be the one you cry with
I want you to hold me
like you've never held another being.

All these are dreams you'll never understand.
Does it shock you that I feel this way?
You just don't know what you mean to me.

It's as if you and I live in two different worlds.
I can see you and maybe you can see me...
but there's no connection between us.

I'll never be a part of your world
and you'll never be a part of mine.
But loving you from a distance makes me happy
Happier than you'll ever care to know.
Why?... because of who you are in my eyes.

But because I'm not "perfect"
and I'm not what you desire...
I'll sit alone, like I've done before.
I'll dream of all the wonderful things I would do...
just for you.
As I close my eyes and shed another lonely tear
I realize it'll never be like my fantasy...
Why?... you ask...
because you'll never give me a chance.
